This product was made my a company that specialises in hearing protection equipment, so it's definately first rate hearing protection. As far as the radio is concerned, I'm not all that fastidious. As long as I can get the stations I want and understand what is being said, that's ok with me. The radio can store 5 of your favorite stations which can be changed by pressing the button on the outside. A product like this is much better than a walkman or any kind of radio where something is dangling on your belt. Just don't use it where you need to hear others because it blocks out sound very well.Customer Review: Very Pleased

I read all the reviews that said how bad the radio reception is on these. I was fine with that because I wanted these to use with a MP3 player while I was mowing. Once I first got them and hooked up my MP3 player I was not sure it would be loud enough to hear over the mower. Thankfully these do a great job of blocking out the outside noise that the audio you are listening to is plenty loud. And on the plus side the few radio stations that I would listen to come in loud and clear. I would highly recommend these for anyone who works around loud equipment and wants to listen to some audio.Customer Review: Excellent value

I got these to replace an older analog set that I lost. These are so much better than the old ones. I don't keep losing my station by bumping the tuner and I can find a station much more easily. I also bought another, more expensive, brand (analog) at the same time I got these and there is no comparison. These are much better and cost less. Haven't had them long enough to evaluate reliability, but if they stand up like the old analog set that I used for several years, I will be happy. I have also not used the audio input, so I cannot comment on the quality of that.Customer Review: A great Gift

I bought the Peltor WorkTunes headphones for my husband because we have so much yard upkeep that requires hearing protection. They have made an endless chore much more tolerable and I believe even enjoyable. I have used the headphones myself and find them comfortable and great at blocking the noise. I could not tell that my tiller was on except for the vibrations. My husband was skeptical and even wanted to send them back before he had used them. Now, he doesn't cut, blow, weed whack, edge or till without them. A great product that I can heartily endorse with pleasure.Customer Review: works swell for me

I've been using the peltor 90541 WorkTunes ear muffs for a couple of weeks now. I plug in my ipod and work in a sawmill. It's quite a noisy environment. I am very happy with these ear muffs. I have not yet tried the am/fm option (and honestly don't intend to ever try it). It doesn't require batteries when I use my ipod, and my battery life on my ipod has not changed (I thought that these would have drawn more energy and that I would be charging my ipod more frequently when I purchased these).
I would definitely recommend them. Hope this helps.
