Tools and Hardware Reviews of AeroBed Sleep Tight Inflatable Bed for Kids

Customer Review: Perfect fit in childs tent
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this mattress 4 years ago for our daughter to use while traveling. She was 18 months old and a little too long (and heavy!) for the pack-n-play - not to mention those were hard to travel with or find at the destination. I bought the little purple kids tent set (still sold on Amazon! comes with inflatable chair, sleeping bag, etc...) - this bed fit PERFECT inside. So tight you have to put the bed in partially inflated and finish inflating inside. No worries about her rolling off and/or getting stuck between mattress and tent. She LOVED it - still does. It was much easier to tote (even on planes) than the pack-n-play and worked for years. It probably still would, but she's going to have to give it up to her 2-yr-old brother. Unfortunately, she's been using the mattres in her room for a few months due to a move - lots of playing and jumping on it. It's finally sprung a leak. I'd have to say it lasted a long time, thru a good deal of abuse. The design is great for kiddos due to the higher sides, and is perfect for the tent if you go that route! I'm obviously buying another!

Customer Review: Super Great
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband's family owns a wonderful lake house and at times, 7 adults and 6 kids under age 10, enjoy together. I purchased an Aerobed for my own child's use and now the lake house is stocked with three more! The kids size is large enough for both my almost 3-year-old and my 10-year-old neice and all the kids in between. And truthfully, myself; granted I'm 5'2, but I have comfortably slept on this bed as well! It's so easy to inflate and the motorized pump is included, as is, a soft and comfy sheet. It stores into the included bag and is easily stored. I was worried after reading other reviews about a loud noise everytime the sleeper moved around but I have never noticed a noise or anything else that would inhibit a good night sleep, but the bed is always used on carpet, so I don't know if that helps reduce any noise. I have also brought this bed on several other trips that included hotel stays. My daughter loves having her own bed and love not having to share my bed with her! I plan on purchasing another when my 15-month-old son is old enough to stay in his own bed.

Customer Review: BIG FAN OF AEROBED FOR KIDS
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the AeroBed for Kids when our son turned 2, for use in travel and for sleepovers with Grammy & Boppy. Our son is now 4 & half and he loves his AeroBed.

It is very durable and very, very comfy. We've never had a problem with a hole or tear, even when our son jumps and plays on it. The pump that's included makes set-up a breeze. The bed folds up neatly and is perfect for travel. Takes up about the same space as a large sleeping bag when rolled up. The "railings" are wonderful, and work perfectly for keeping your little one safely on the bed. I also love the padded, fitted cover which is included. It's soft and comfy and you can toss it in the wash for quick clean ups. This bed is larger than the cheaper kids inflatables, so you'll get more years of use.

We also use it during the Spring thunderstorm season, when our son is a little frightened about sleeping in his own bed. We set the AeroBed up in Mommy and Daddy's room and our little guy sleeps peacefully next to our bed. That way, everyone gets a good nights sleep.

Customer Review: Yes!!! Get it!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my daughters second bed! In addition to travel, we use it when people stay and need her big bed, we just blow up this bed for her! It is great, truly. It blows up in about 5 seconds and deflates is about 2 seconds. Very user friendly.
No more sleeping between us in a king bed.. us not getting any sleeping at all. Now she wants to sleep in her travel bed. Also, because of the sides, there is no falling off of it like some of the other ones we have used... no waking up half on the floor. It is really roomy, but doesn't take up much space inflated. If I was forced to say something negative, the only think I might pick on is that when it is in its storage bag it is slightly bulky, but bring it... cram it in, it's worth a sound sleep for mom and dad.
Also, it holds up to 150 pounds and my 9 year old says it is really comfy too... so not just for toddlers. I have included a picture of my daughter on it in a hotel and it is her little "domain." Sleep, eat, sit, play... whatever... it's HERS! BUY IT HERE it was much cheaper!

Customer Review: When the Pack 'n Play is just to small!
Summary: 5 Stars

We have a third grandchild who is just a little too big for the Pack 'n Play, but not yet out of his crib at home. There actually isn't enough room right now to set up an extra twin sized bed in the room where his brothers sleep when they visit here anyway.

So we bought this hoping it would tide him over for a few years until we can make "big boy" sleeping arrangements for him and it fits the bill perfectly! He sleeps well in it and if anything the two older ones are a little envious because it just looks like so much fun!

Easy to set up, easy to repack and easy to store.

My only very slightly negative comment would be that the instructions say that you can tell when the inflation is complete because there will be a change in sound coming from the inflating device. I didn't hear that change in sound and was a little concerned that I may have over or underinflated it, but it seemed fine. It doesn't lose air even after several nights.

Definitely a worthwhile purchase!
