Bottom line.... If you're someone who actually opens up a products owners manual and reads it before using a product, you will LOVE this humidifier.
If you just fill it with water and turn it on you will have (self made) issues with it.
We've used a LOT of different humidifiers on the market. Most are only good for a few months and then start to have different issues. Other units are better but lack meaningful features. This particular humidifier is without a doubt the BEST one that we have ever used, and we love all of it's make sense useful features. This one's a keeper. Do yourself a favor and glance through the owners manual before using, and you will love what this humidifier has to offer. You can even download a copy of it from their website before buying the unit. Over the years Air-O-Swiss has refined this unit and it is to the point of near perfection now. Just be sure to place it in a good spot in the room according to the units instructions and give it some well deserved up keeping maintenance ever so often and you will be happy camper.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have used many types & brands which have all failed at some point. The worst was $150 Holmes warm-mist, which failed & melted in a plastic smokey mess while I slept one night (thank god for smoke detectors). My friend recomended this Air-O-Swiss unit. It was more expensive, however totally worth it! I have owned this unit for 4yrs so far & very pleased. It's easy to maintain, consistant & reliable. Uses very little electricity in both "cool" & "warm" mist modes. It can evaporate up to 7 gal/day in "high/warm" mode, 3-1/2 gal/day in "med/cool" mode. I've owned this humidifier for a couple of months now. The features that I like best about it are: it regulates the ambient humidity (i.e. the unit has a humidity sensor for the room) when it reaches the desired level it automatically stops the mist; also it gives you an indication when the unit needs to be cleaned (pretty simple process); and most important the unit stops when there's not enough water (again a little indicator flashes for your attention) - furthermore, the unit is very well designed and has a very contemporary look - highly recommended!Customer Review: Satisfied Customer

I have had this product for the past year and was surprised to read all of the bad reviews. I have been very happy with it and I think that it does a good job. In addition, the Air-O-Swiss EX Cal cleaner is great! I use very hot water and leave it for over 30 minutes and am able to get it very clean. I'm very happy with the machine.

This is a great product! As advertised it humidifies the air with many options on heating the mist, setting the amount of humidity you desire and sleep mode. This unit is sturdy and quite sophisticated so it should service us for many years to come.
