Customer Review: Great high-end humidifier--liked it so much we got another

I was a little hesitant to buy this humidifier due to the price as well as some of the reviews concerning the white residue it puts out but I'm glad I got it. I wanted a quiet humidifier for our baby's room and I liked the humidistat on the system. I also really liked that I don't have to clean the tank every week. We haven't had any difficulty with the machine at all. I don't think it's a big deal to fill the tank and, once you get the hang of it, doesn't drip much water at all. And we don't have any white residue at all. I live in MN and use water from the tub with no problem at all. In fact, I bought another one for our bedroom. Our room is quite a bit larger than our baby's and so I need to turn the output down to medium or else the tank runs out. But, again, the nice thing is, I can do that. This humifier is ideal for a bedroom. It keeps the humidy where I set it (40%) with no problem. 40% is about right for a healthy sleeping environment. The tank must be refilled every day or 2, depending on prevailing dryness. I found refilling the tank easy. It uses regular tap water and has built-in facilities for removing minerals and bacteria. Just follow the instructions. I found a single unit is not adequate to keep our music room at 45%. This is a fairly large living room. I have a number of guitars and I am a fanatic about humidity. I have had instrument damage done in the past by both too little and too much humidity. I bought three of these units and am going to buy another one. Recommended.Customer Review: Air-O-Bliss

This humidifier ionizes water. It doesn't boil it like the cheap ones. This is an ultra quiet piece that bellows out a constant stream of cool mist....it costs more than the cheap ones but it's so much better.
Best thing: It's ultra quiet. Therefore, you can easily fall asleep to it. I am finicky about sounds as I fall asleep and this is perfect. Just a little white noise in the background. It actually got quieter after the first night I used it?
Anyway, great product....expensive, but it's worth it to not own garbage...don't you think?

I have been using this humidifier for about a month. I live in the mountains of Idaho and our only heat is from our woodstove. Burning wood dries the air out horribly. We have always had trouble with our sinus' in the winter because of the dry heat.
This humidifier brought our humidity level up from 34% to 50% in a little over two hours. Even though it is only meant to work in a single room we have noticed a higher humidity in our breakfast room (two rooms away) while this little machine is running.
We are looking forward to a much more comfortable winter this year.

I have purchased many humidifiers from typical variety discount stores. This is the first product to actually affect the level of humidity in the room. It does leave a little white dust, but not nearly as much as the lesser quality $20 items. I would definitely recommend this product.
