Tools and Hardware Reviews of Powerbuilt 648796 Honda Crankcase Pulley Removal Tool

Customer Review: Worked fine on 2001 Honda Accord 23A1 engine
Summary: 5 Stars

Used this tool to remove the crankshaft bolt on a 2001 Honda Accord with the F23A1 motor. Tool does not fit tight in the socket but didn't slip. Took 3ft of breaker bar to loosen the bolt, but tool was fine. No bending or damage noted. Maintenance manual suggests using a chain/spanner wrench to hold the pulley but this might damage the groves in the pulley and cause the AC/Alt belts to wear out or break. I'm glad I waited and used this tool.

Customer Review: Shoulda ordered it earlier
Summary: 5 Stars

Yea, I was one of those trying to tinker something together to get the infamous Honda crank bolt loose. I finally had enough and ordered one of these tools so I could get on with my life. IT works as advertised. Got it in the mail a day early (thanks Amazon), and 15 minutes later I heard the sweetest cracking noise my ears have ever heard. That of course was the sound of the bolt cracking loose. Just buy this tool for crying out loud!

Customer Review: Honda/Acura Powerbuilt Pully Tool
Summary: 5 Stars

Not sure why but I could not find this tool or any comparable tool at any local auto parts stores in my area. I wanted to change my timing belt and needed to remove the crank pulley on my Integra. The best price I found for this tool was at Amazon's web site. The tool worked great for my repair project. I definitely recommend this tool for removing the crank pulley on Honda and Acura cars with the 50mm hex opening on the pulley.

Customer Review: Will fit a 91 Integra!
Summary: 5 Stars

Yeah, I was pretty skeptical at whether or not this would work on my 91 stock Integra. Guess what!? It does and I happy because of it!! I know that changing my timing belt without this tool would be nearly impossible without some sort of air tool, as I did!! Guess what though, you may be able to get this tool from a local parts store. So, instead of spending money on shipping, spend some money on gas and try to find it locally!!

Customer Review: Excellent tool to change your timing belt
Summary: 5 Stars

Without this tool, it is impossible to remove the 19mm bolt that is fastened through the crankshaft pulley. You need two breaker bars to use this one.

Impact wrench can not remove this one and I can attest to that. Buy this one and you won't regret it. This will fit on Honda CR-V as well...of course most Honda Civics I think...

This will save you a couple of hours banging that bolt....
