Aqua Mix Heavy-Duty Tile and Grout Cleaner is a stripper and degreaser that cleans tough jobs. Removes heavy grease, old wax finishes, and grime build up. Aqua Mix Heavy-Duty Grout and Tile cleaner is a concentrated high-alkaline cleaner and degreaser. Effectively removes grease, soap scum, body oil, milder stains, and algae from areas that have been neglected or subjected to heavy use. Aqua Mix Heavy-duty Tile and Grout Cleaner is formulated to strip off synthetic and acylic waxes and floor finishes. Use on all types of ceramic tile and grout joints, natural and cultured stone, linoleum or vinyl flooring, cement and other masonary surfaces. Customer Review: Exactly what I've been looking for, but the price in NZ is HORRENDOUS

I paid just over thirty-five New Zealand dollars for the 946ml (1 US qt) bottle, which even at today's poor rate of exchange (thirty-five NZ dollars is worth about twenty-one seventy-five US) is inexcusably expensive. But it was well worth it. I judged the discolouration of my kitchen floor grout to be moderate and therefore mixed half a teaspoon of the product with 1-1/2 teaspoons of water. I took the water from from the kitchen filter rather than use water from the bore, just in case. I then poured it as carefully as I could onto three strips of grout and intended to leave it for five minutes. But I got impatient to see the results and lightly scrubbed it with a nail brush after about three minutes. And light scrubbing was all it needed. It was SO good not to have to press so hard on the brush my arthritic hands started complaining. To further test the product, after cleaning the area with a cloth and cold water (again from the filter) I asked my husband to come and tell me which strips I had cleaned. Once he was looking in the right direction he had no trouble finding all three. I'm going to leave the full cleaning of the grout until I can get a bottle (or more likely several bottles) of the same brand of tile sealer. I am quite sure part of the problem with the grout is that my husband used a sealer that was just not up to the job. Aqua Mix is available from only two retailers in my city and he definitely didn't get the one he used from either of these. By the way, I am not a house-proud woman and I hope I never will be. But a kitchen floor with grout that looks like several different colours of grout have been used is totally unacceptable to me.
