An Aube by Honeywell thermostat phone controller provides increased control and comfort for your family. Call your home or your cottage and turn on the heat so it is nice and warm by the time you get there! Low voltage output, works with Aube thermostats requiring a 12 VDC signal to activate unoccupied mode. Universal output, works with thermostats or household devices requiring dry contacts. Connects directly to existing phone line. Activated by home and cell phones and is compatible with answering machines. One-touch buttons enable manual override of controller output status. LEDs show output status. Password-protected for secure access. I use this device to have the attached thermostat turn on the heat in a mountain home 12 hours before I arrive (furnace needs a long time to heat house). No more arriving at 10 PM and having the inside of the house at 40 degrees. This thing works great...providing the power is not out when you need to call it.
