The hardwired smoke alarm was very easy to install. Although the two mounting screws were set at a different place on the mounting plate, the holes fit nicely with those on the original electrical bracket on the ceiling. Therefore, once the original screws were removed, they were very easy to be used to mount the new smoke alarm.Customer Review: BRK 9120B

Easy to install and works perfectly. Although it is advertised as a direct replacement for an older model, it's not quite that easy - you also have to replace the mounting bracket. The electrical connection was identical, however, so no electical work was required. It interfaces properly with a network of the older models.Customer Review: Easy to install

This smoke detector has all the little wires and fiddly bits you'll need to install it. This newer model also has an LED to tell you if it alarmed. This is a big improvement over the old models which might accidentally alarm in the middle of the night but you never knew which one.Customer Review: Excellent product

I ordered seven units to replace all my obsolete alarms in the house. They arrived shortly after I ordered them. I could just take out the old units and snapped in the new ones. The anxiety of having to replace all of them was dispelled by the ease of installation.

Purchased these smoke detectors when our 11 year old detectors started "chirping". These are the same brand as our original smoke dectors so installation was very easy. They have been in use for just over two months and we haven't heard a peep out of them.
