Tools and Hardware Reviews of Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie PanCustomer Review: What a great product Summary: 5 Stars
What a great product. This thing is built like a tank. The description says "heavy gauge aluminum" and they mean it. This is not a flimsy piece of bakeware. Very nice look, no sharp edges, and it works as advertised. I've baked brownies and blondies in it. In addition to have at least 2 edges on every piece, I like the fact that you can basically cut a piece of as big or small as you like. The pan comes with a small plastic spatula that's sized perfectly this shape.
I had read an earlier review saying that it was kind of a pain to get the batter into this pan. I was a bit leery when I read that, but decided to try it anyways. It does take a little extra time to pour the batter in, we're talking about maybe an extra minute. Using a spatula, it's really not that difficult. It's a fair tradeoff if you really like edges.
Customer Review: The Perfect Brownie Pan !!! Summary: 5 Stars
Baking brownies in this pan was sssooo much fun. It was quick and easy. Due to the non-stick coating the brownies were removed easily without any mess. The construction of this pan also made slicing the brownies and removing them a neat and clean experience. The edges of the brownies were exactly the way I like. Remember the brownies with the corner edges and the edges along the sides of the pan that you would try to get before anyone else could? This brownie pan gives you that edge throughout the brownie. I loved every thing this pan offers. From it's light weight but yet heavy enough to give that perfect moist brownie.
Clean up was also quick and easy. I used a dish sponge because I didn't want to damage the coating.
If you want the "Perfect Brownie Experience," this edge brownie pan's what you need.
Customer Review: Best Brownies Ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I have used this pan for both brownie mix (Duncan Hines) and scratch brownies, and both turned out beautifully! The pan is quite heavy, as bakeware should be. It comes with a little plastic spatula for "cutting" and scooping out the brownies.
Okay, so it's hard to spread the batter in the pan. I'm guessing my granddaughter might have trouble doing that, but it was not a big deal for me. It took about 30 seconds more than spreading in a 13x9" pan.
The brownies cook in about 5-7 minutes less than with a conventional pan which is not a big difference one way or the other. The brownies never, ever stick--each crumb comes out perfectly. I guess it might take a little more time to clean, but my husband does the dishes, and he has not complained. I highly recommend this pan for brownie lovers!
Customer Review: Great pan, not just for brownies! Summary: 5 Stars
I Love this pan! Initially I bought it because I make brownies often, but I have also found this pan excellent for making cornbread, banana cake, and other recipes that are dense. Because of the shape of the pan, I don't get a soggy section in the middle where a normal 9x13 pan would usually be slightly undercooked in the center.
The baking time tends to be slightly shorter in this pan as well. So if you buy this pan, check for doneness a few minutes before the suggested cooking time.
I also like the plastic spatula that is included. Since I don't want to ruin the nice nonstick surface, I've been careful to only use the plastic spatula to cut items from this pan.
I've been very pleased with this in the past 4 months that I've had it. I would definitely recommend this product!
Customer Review: Not Just for Brownies Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this pan from Amazon in 2007, but it wasn't until last week that I finally opened the package and tried it out. I bought it for baking cornbread since corner pieces are the favored ones in our family. I have used it twice ... each time using two boxes of Jiffy brand cornbread mix. The first time I set the temperature for 400 degrees and the timer for 20 minutes (which is the least amount of time recommended). I peeked at it a couple of minutes before the timer went off, thank goodness. That batch was well done....not burned, but browner than I prefer. Last night I gave it try number two. I set my temperature for 375 and the timer for 20 minutes. This one turned out perfect. My only regret is that I waited for a whole year before trying this wonderful invention.
