Customer Review: Battic Door Insulated Switch and Outlet Covers - good idea, recommend design improvement

The outlet covers arrived early, the order was correct, and the covers were carefully wrapped for shipment. I ended up with too many cable outlets (ordered the home package) and in hindsight would have ordered covers to match only what was needed for my home. One packet was missing a screw and another had foam backing that was not straight so it could not be used. I noticed that some of the covers ended up having a gap between the cover and the wall based on the outlet installation. The cover would benefit from having a deeper lip to seal tightly when an outlet protrudes a bit. Also, the child proof covers are designed so they do not allow for some plug-ins to fit without unscrewing the cover to remove the child proof lid. As an example, carbon monoxide detectors, appliances with large plugs with reset safety fuses (hair dryer), etc. I recommend ordering one outlet and one light switch cover and testing them to see how they fit. Overall this product reflects a good idea and general design and is a time saver when compared with cutting and fitting the insulation to each outlet. With some minor design improvements it could be an excellent product.
