Tools and Hardware Reviews of Tri-wing Screwdriver for Nintendo Wii, Gamecube, Gameboy AdvanceCustomer Review: Quality + Tips Summary: 5 Stars
This Screwdriver was very good quality. After It did its job removing very tiny screws from the ZuneHD I did a little test with it, I scratch the tip of the screwdriver against a wood chair about 100 times and the screwdriver did not strip at all! This is the best triwing screwdriver in Amazon [And yes Ive tried many].
TIPS: [How not to strip screwdriver]
- When removing screws remember to push down the screwdriver and turn very very slowly, If its not removing still push down even harder... doing this most likely not strip the screw.
- FYI: Lefty loosy, Righty tighty =D
Customer Review: worked great Summary: 5 Stars
I was bit nervous this might be a cheap screwdriver and strip out on the first use after reading some of the reviews here, but for the price I decided it was worth a shot. I had no problems of any kind - it worked great and I was able to completely disassemble and reassemble my Wii without any issues.
Thanks to this purchase I was able to open the Wii and fix the slot loading disc drive myself for much, much less than what Nintendo wanted to repair my out of warranty Wii.
Customer Review: Does The Job Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a mechanic, and honstly i've had alot of screw drivers wear out prematurely - especially small tips like this. I've used it to repair the Wii nunchuks that my son broke the buttons on, and it worked perfectly. I see no reason I won't get good life out of it. Hold it in the screw firmly, go slow, then go to the hardware store and replace those stupid triwings with phillips head screws. And like other reviewers, the price was right...
Customer Review: A Necessity to Work with an out of Warranty Wii Summary: 5 Stars
This is a high quality screwdriver that works will all of the sizes of tri-wing screws used on the Nintendo Wii. Using this inexpensive screwdriver, and information from how-to pages and videos on the web, I was able to fix my broken out-of-warranty Wii. So, it saved me $200.
Don't try to fix a Wii without this, or you will strip the screws and end up causing damage instead of fixing your Wii.
Customer Review: Works on more than just Wii and Gameboy Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this screwdriver because I could not open and clean a tower fan. It had mostly Philips head screws and one tri-wing screw. So it was impossible to open, because of one screw. But this screwdriver was a dream I got that screw out and now my fan is blowing clean cool air. So this screwdriver works on other electronics with tri- wing screws.
