This unit is an attractive addition to any room's furniture and is very efficient. When running on low speed you don't even know it is on. I mention this because, once you get the humidity level where you want it, low is all you need to maintain your desired level. One thing I like about this unit is the water tank that is supplied. At 2.5 gal. capacity it is quit heavy but it comes with a tube you attach to your faucet to use for filling. Once filled you invert the tank into the humidifier to fill the reservoir. When the reservoir is full (about 5-10 min.)you can remove the tank and refill it and store in the humidifier unit for when you need to refill the reservoir again (about every 2-3 days for me). When storing make sure you don't invert the tank in the reservoir this will result in overfilling and possible damage to your carpet or flooring. By having a full tank on hand you are never in need of water when empty. In closing let me say that this unit is well made and well thought out for an efficient way to add humidity to your home.Customer Review: Love this humidifier!

I did alot of searching on the internet and in stores trying to find one that worked for my whole house and looked like a nice piece of furniture..this one is perfect.
The cabinet is just beautiful so no complaints there at all.
My son sleeps so much better now, he makes sure it is full before he goes to bed!
The air in our home feels cleaner and lighter somehow. We live in a dry climate so I will be using this humidifier year round. No more static electricity making my hair fly up or zapping us when we touch something!
I do wish it were quieter on the higher settings, but the low one is fine anyhow and it shuts off automatically when the humidity is at a good level.
Love it love it love it!

We needed a full-house humidifier, and this does the job nicely. It is easy to fill, and very quiet on the lower settings. When you crank it up, it does get noisier, but when it's really dry it certainly works faster. We have it in the hall next to our bedroom, and it doesn't bother us at all. One thing that may get a bit confusing is that this model does not have a 5 gallon basin. Rather, it has a 2.5 gallon basin and a 2.5 gallon removable tank. It comes with a hose that fits snugly over a faucet - which I love because I can stand the tank on the floor, feed the hose into it, and fill it hands-free. This looks nicer than I thought it would. It's very efficient in getting moisture into the air. The high setting is loud so we turn it on high at night when we are all in bed. there are two tanks with one being portable so you can lift it out and fill it. The other one can be filled with the hose that comes with. You attach it to the faucet and fill the humidifier. It rolls quite easily from room to room. The finish on the outside is a rich looking finish and the top is black plastic. It actually looks quite nice for the price and it works very very well.Customer Review: Very happy.

We heat primarily with a wood stove. We live along the North Shore of Lake Superior and we have the wood stove going all night. It gets extremely dry. Friends lent us a spare Essick H12-300 which we ran for a month and liked it so much we bought a h12-400 which is virtually the same. We are very happy with the results and I don't wake up dehydrated at night. Make sure you use a bacteriostat of some kind as the water does start to grow things while it is sitting.
