Bionaire 9" 3-spd. Electronic Twin Window Fan w/RemoteWith a remote control for convenient adjustment, this double window fan draws in fresh, cool air from the outside or exhausts stale, hot air from inside. It can also do both simultaneously, because each of the two fans can be set independently to draw in or exhaust out, allowing the unit to exchange inside and outside air. Operable either manually or automatically--with its thermostat turning the fans off and on to maintain a selected temperature--the unit has three speeds, electronic controls, and an LCD screen showing the selected temperature and the room temperature. The remote control (two AAA batteries are included) alters speed, manual/automatic operation, air-flow direction, and temperature.
The twin fan is designed to fit double-hung, vertical-slider, and casement windows. A built-in 7-inch extender and two 3-inch extenders permit custom fitting for windows from 24 to 37 inches wide. Because the unit is lightweight plastic it can be moved easily from room to room. The fans have six blades and measure 8-1/2 inches in diameter. Overall, the unit is 13 inches high, arrives fully assembled, and carries a five-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

I ordered this fan on July 9th and got it on the 11th. I suppose that's what Amazon Prime gets you :). But they got it from CA (Bionaire warehouse) to PA (Amazon warehouse) to VT (my house) in two days. That's decent.
Anyway, onto the fan.
Pros:
The fan started up on the first plug-in. The control panel is very useful. My last window fan was a simple "low, High, Off" fan -- not so many options. But this fan includes many options. Firstly, as you can on most fans, you can adjust the fan speed from low, to medium, to high, with the push of a button which cycles through the speeds. This fan cooled my room down in no time.
There's also the temperature feature which shuts the fan off when the inside temperature reaches a certain level.
There's also some adjustment buttons which increase or decrease the temperature on the display -- I haven't used these yet -- or I haven't figured out how to successfully use them.
The display features a brightness adjustment which lets you adjust the display brightness to three different levels -- but you cannot turn the display off.
There is also an option to switch how the fans operate. By pushing the button, you can cycle through "In", "Out", and "Exchange" (which sucks the hot air out and blows the cold air in).
Then there is, of course, a power button.
Cons:
Upon unpacking I noticed the fan was packed into three separate boxes: an Amazon box, A Bionare box, and a product box. I didn't find so many boxes to be necessary haha. But I'm not taking points of for excessive boxing.
The remote essentially gives you the same buttons and options as the control panel does. Oh, and on the remote there is not a specific button to cycle between the fan speed, so instead the power buttons also acts as the fan speed button. Just press the power button to cycle through the fan speeds and after the "High" speed has been reached you press simple the button again and the fan will turn off. It took me a bit of time to figure this out eheh...
My last quibble is about the extend panel. I'm talking about the attachable extender panel. The manual shows how to attach the panel and says that two 3 inch extender panels are included in the package at the very ends of the box. I did not receive these panels. However, I was able to salvage another extender panel form a different window fan. Unfortunately, this extender panel is too short for this fan so, for the moment, I've taken to stuffing a washcloth in the space above the panel as to prevent bugs from flying in past the fan.
I'll probably contact Bionaire and ask about the missing panels.
Overall, this is a very capable and powerful fan and I highly recommend it!
