I have two young kids and they're always dropping food and drinks on the floor so it's always sticky. I can use it for quick clean ups without having to mop the whole floor. I also don't like using chemicals on the floors because I have a 13 month old who occasionally crawls and puts her hands in her mouth, so I decided to try the Bissell Steam Mop. It was very easy to put together and use. The steam gets very hot too so it does a good job cleaning the floor in my bathroom. I use to hate mopping the bathroom, but now I actually enjoy it. The unit is also very quiet too. I was worried that it would be too loud, but I cleaned the bathroom floor while my kids were sleeping and they didn't even wake up. I love the fact that I don't have to bend down and scrub the floor. I'm throwing out my mop and bucket and welcoming the Bissell Steam Mop to stay forever!Customer Review: Good Product

I don't like to mop my floors with strong chemicals because I don't want my cats walking thru the mop water and getting sick from the cleaning solution. When I saw the ad for chemical free cleaning I bought the steam mop. The first time I used it the mop cleaned stuff I couldn't get off before by scrubbing. I have one cat that likes to mark her turf by urinating on certain sections of my cheap parquet floor. I've tried white vinegar and various pet cleaning solutions but those sections of the floor still looked yellow and she continued to return and mark those places.I was very suprised to see that the steam mop not only did a good job of cleaning those spots but also smoothed out the edges of the wood which the repeated applications of marking and vinegar had raised. After 3 uses in the bathroom the grout between the tiles is also becoming cleaner.Customer Review: so much better than a mop and bucket!!!

I have had this steam mop for over a year now and I just don't know what I would do without it! I remember the first time I used it and it left a few streaks. I soon realized after using it a couple more times that it was only because of the built-up residue from all of the other chemicals I had used on my hard floors (hard wood cleaner) that resulted in the initial streaks. After only a couple uses, I no longer had streaks and my floors were the cleanest they had ever been. With two young kids, I wouldn't use anything but this mop on my floors. My floors never felt so clean, whether it's the bathroom or kitchen. The suggestions about the cord are right on, longer would be much better. If it gets clogged, just follow the instructions to clean head with vinegar, it's only happened once to me and I use it weekly! Love, love, love it!Customer Review: Say goodbye to the bucket!

I recently purchased the Bissell Steam Mop and absolutely love it! I rarely used to wash my floors because I hated the wet mess of a bucket and sponge mop. And it was a real pain to drag the bucket from room to room. Mopping is now actually fun with the Steam Mop! It's so easy and you don't drip water everywhere. Also, it really gets up stuck-on grime, with very little effort. Plus, I love that I'm not using any chemicals. Best of all, it makes mopping seem quick and easy, not like a huge chore that you have to plan for. You can do a whole room in just a couple minutes, with no preparation beforehand, and nothing to clean up at the end. It's true that the mop doesn't pick up hair and crumbs, but a quick vacuum beforehand is all you need, so I don't mind. If you have lots of tile or hardwood floors, I highly recommend this product!Customer Review: convenient & easy to use

this mop is excellent. i just bought it and have used it on my tile and hardwood floors. it's so nice to be able to mop a variety of surfaces without having to worry about switching cleaners! i can just move from one floor to the next. i LOVE that it just uses water and no chemicals. my floors feel very clean after just a few minutes of work. it heats the water very quickly and cleans even the nastiest of floors!! right after i had mopped, a friend spilled a glass of tea all over the floor- no big deal! i just plugged the mop back in and mopped it up in seconds. the only problem i could see is that my tile floor is very textured, and the mop pad is already showing some wear; however, it seems that smooth tile wouldn't be as hard on the mop pad. overall, i love this mop and would suggest it to anyone who hates to mop!!!
