Tools and Hardware Reviews of BISSELL 1867 Steam Mop Bare Floor Steam Cleaner

Customer Review: I absolutely love it !!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had my steam mop for more than a year and it is great. It does a great job of cleaning my linoleum in the kitchen and it is especially nice in the bathrooms because it fits easily in the hard to get places,i.e. behind the toilet. I think that my husband likes it even more than I do. When he is at home, he will insist on doing the mopping. My daughter-in-law likes it so much that she had to get one as well. I use my carpet vacuum on the linoleum before I mop it and when I am finished there is no grit and my floors are beautiful. The mop is light weight and is very easy to operate. It is very uncomplicated plus there are no chemicals involved. If something isn't convenient, I won't use it. The steam mop is very convenient and user friendly. It would make an excellent gift for anyone.

Customer Review: NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL
Summary: 5 Stars

After reading all the reviews, I thought I would try it. Easy to put together and used it that night. The water tank lasts a long time, and I did not have trouble pushing it. I have all ceremic tile floors and it works great!!! The mop head was easy to put on. It got very wet quickly but I was going TOO slow with the steam. When I moved along at a normal pace, it was better. Replacement heads are a MUST. The floors did not streak even though water was left on the floor because my mop head was too wet and I did not change it. You learn a little more each time you use it. It is so lightweight, easy, quiet and fun to use. It's a snap to keep floors clean with this product. Sweeping floors is a must before you use it but you would do that anyway. All it all, I am very happy with Bissell.

Customer Review: My housekeeper loves it, I love it, even my husband love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I also have a housekeeper that likes to clean the old fashion way but I'm paying her by the hour & watching her wash the corners of the floor with a toothbrush while I have many modern tools & seeing my prescription drug costs go through the roof is killing me.(I'm disabled) I had 2 steamers the scunci and Bissel Steam Mop & we have 4K ft of ceramic tile. Not counting carpeting. I brought out the Bissell and saw the look on her face. This time I just said try it & tell me what you think. She did, she loves it & now she wants 1 of her own & 1 for her mom! We do not dry our pads in the dryer! I need a new filter-Bissell never said they were out of them but didn't mention they were no longer making the machine! Why would they stop making such a popular product?

Customer Review: Loving it all over again
Summary: 5 Stars

After a hiatus from housekeeping (we lived overseas where I was lucky enough to have a maid), I'm back to mopping my floors. I've dusted off my Bissell steam mop and am reminded all over again why I like it so much.

It cleans. It disinfects. All without any nasty chemicals.

Important info since Bissell no longer makes this mop - you can order both replacement pads & filters at Bissell.com I also saw both pads & filters on Ebay as well as Amazon - but the prices were higher(!) Bottom line, there are still replacement parts available. I'm tempted to stock up so I can keep using this for a few more years!

I loved the tip about wetting the pad before putting it on the mop, will try that out next time I mop!

Customer Review: Everyone wants to borrow mine!
Summary: 5 Stars

After reading the reviews I finally purchased the steam mop. I was so sick of mopping around dirt with a regular mop. I have about 900 sq ft of tile, so I recommend if you have big areas to clean, get the extra mop heads. 900 sq ft area needs a total of four heads, to get the job done. I used to have a problem with streaking and spotting - but I haven't had that problem with the steam mop. I haven't tried tap water. I just filled some clean plastic milk jugs at one of those distilled water machines outside the grocery store. So - for less than a quarter's worth of water - the filter will last longer - and you will be streak free. I love it! Don't let the neighbors know you have one - everyone wants to try it ----- I forget which neighbor has it now!
