Tools and Hardware Reviews of BISSELL 3106A Featherweight Lightweight Vacuum

Customer Review: Amazing!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this vaccum about a month ago from Amazon and have used it 3-4 times. I use it for non-carpet area like kitchen, bathrooms, etc. (I have separate one for carpet) and I dont have pets.
Things I love abt it -
It has very good suction power... serves the purpose very well... the crevise tool is amazing.... it is super light weight, so easy to move around in small spaces... easy to clean the dustpan after use.... can be used to clean the car also, very handy.
Plus the 25$ price is very less for a full blown stick vaccum... some of the electric boorms/vacs are costlier than it with much less power and no attachments.

I've used it for abt 1.5 yrs now and still loving it. Kitchen and bathrooms need lot more frequent vaccuming than the carpet and have less manuvering space. Its light weight and small size is perfect!!

Customer Review: Office vacuum
Summary: 5 Stars

Because the cleaning crew in my office building apparently aren't certified to operate vacuum cleaners, I wanted something for my office that was inexpensive, light, compact, easy to store and easy to use yet did more than make noise. I read carefully the previous reviews on the MANY little vacuums available. CLEARLY did not want a battery powered piece. The little Bissel seemed to be a reasonable compromise. Well sure enough, the little thing is as easy to use on a floor as a big monster, tucks away in the little box it was shipped in, and amazingly enough actually picks up dirt. Now that I've gotten the first ten layers off the carpet, I don't even have to clean the screen cup every two feet. Would have loved a power rotating brush head, but that option was three times the price; this little thing will do JUST find. Recommended HIGHLY.

Customer Review: A GODSEND FOR A HOUSEHOLD ENGINEER...
Summary: 5 Stars

Okay, so I researched products and prices for the last six weeks, searching for what I eventually discovered was THIS little beauty! I have COPD, and am not strong, and I have a kennel of ten dogs and live rurally with all that dust. It is imperative that my house be dirt and dust free. I needed this to go over the kitchen floor twice a day, to pick up any hair, dust, dog toenails, whatever...IT IS MAGNIFICENT! Hey, it's not my Oreck, but I found that I couldn't use the Oreck on the vinyl flooring, because it was causing static electricity, and the short hair would stick to the floor and not come up. THE PRODUCT GOT IT UP, it is VERY LIGHTWEIGHT, and did a marvelous job. WHAT A GREAT BUY! Amazon carried it cheapest, via Allergy Be Gone :)

One drawback: 16' cord. A 20' cord would be so much better, but I will manage :)

Customer Review: Great vac for 1 BR fully-carpeted apartment!
Summary: 5 Stars

This was just delivered today and I immediately tried it out as I've not vacuumed since I moved into my apt. about a month ago. My old apt had hardwood floors, so I used a sponge mop instead of a vacuum. I was researching vacs and came across this. I was skeptical because other reviewers stated that it doesn't work too well on carpets, and my apt. is fully-carpeted. But, I didn't want to spend too much on a regular vac that would take up a lot of space in the closet as well. After mulling it over for almost a month, I went ahead and ordered this, and am very happy with my purchase. I used it for 5 mins in my small living room, and was surprised to see so much dust, lint and hair that got caught in the cup! It works great on the carpet and rugs, even though it takes a bit of strength to pull it back towards you on these surfaces.

Customer Review: great little vacuum
Summary: 5 Stars

My 5 yr old Dustbuster cordless stick vac died and and I couldn't find a very similar replacement in my desired price range. I ended up looking at corded stick vacs instead and saw that the Bissell Featherweight had been around a long time and had many good reviews. Plus, the price was incredibly low. I have been using it almost a month and it's almost perfect for what I needed, quick cleanup on tile floors and a few door mats. It's easy to clean (I empty the canister and tap out the filter every time I use it), picks up more stuff than my previous stick vac and was quieter than I expected based on other reviews. The only drawbacks are its fairly short cord and the fact that replacement parts are not easily available. I guess it's just as cheap to replace the whole vacuum rather than buy another floor nozzle when it wears out.
