Tools and Hardware Reviews of BISSELL 3106A Featherweight Lightweight VacuumCustomer Review: Excellent sweeper for floors Summary: 5 Stars
This vacuum does a great job on floors -- it has picked up food crumbs, dirt, pieces of dog food, long pet hair, dust, and pieces of styrofoam. The only things it didn't pick up were a few pieces of gravel (not sure why -- they weren't that big). It isn't so great on carpet -- at least, it doesn't get the dog hair off the door mats. It isn't too loud (unlike our giant Eureka Boss vacuum), and as a nice side effect, it calms my infant, and has even put him to sleep. It's also very light -- I can easily use it with one hand. However, it is a bagless vac, so emptying it can be messy -- just do it carefully over a garbage container. I use it once a day, and need to empty it once a week. I've had it for about a month now, and it is the only light vac I've ever used that could get rid of the dog hair in my house!
Customer Review: A good product Summary: 5 Stars
This is not my first Featherweight. I had another product in our winter residence that needed a new (expensive) battery. So I decided to get a plug in model to clean up the floor after my two large birds. Having had a 10 year or so history with a Featherweight that's still working at our other residence, I decided that for $20 I would get another and not have to worry about buying an expensive battery. It came with the filter in it, but you really need extras so you can pop the dirty one in the washing machine (don't bother with the dryer) and a clean one in the product.
It's a bit noisy, as most or all Bissell products are, but it's reliable and can handle the dry food and paper my birds toss on the tile floor. It will also work on carpet for very small quick pick-ups.
Customer Review: Awesome little vacuum for the price! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this vacuum for my daughter for her 4th birthday. She loved to vacuum and I figured this one really works and is cheaper than a toy one that doesn't. She LOVES to use it and has become so helpful. Her 7 and 1 year old sisters love to use it too!! I have a Dyson upright, but this has become my "go to" vacuum. (In fact it picks up bigger objects better than my Dyson if I don't get out the wand.) It picks things up so well. It is easy to store and light to use. I love the dustbuster type feature too. It is just so handy and works so much better than the dustbuster I previously owned! I even just leave the stick on and use the dustbuster type feature. It would be perfect for a small apartment or a college dorm or for an older person because of its weight and how easy is it to use!!
Customer Review: Ah, just what my back wanted... Summary: 5 Stars
It's spring time, or feels like it...hence the spring cleaning and the reviews of my 'must-have' cleaning products. I've been looking for something lightweight to pick up small messes from floors and very flat carpets (which I have). I got tired of lugging the big vacuum cleaner around with the cord and all the attachements in such a small house, so I ran and got this Bissell. Frankly I am not sure this is the same one, it looks the same and was the same price...but I don't care. I've liked most of my Bissell products over the years, and this was both the price and the weight I wanted. I just love it, and it couldn't be better for reaching under things and getting up hair balls, & the mistakes of grandchildren (who are more important than their mistakes!)...

Customer Review: Terrific for light cleaning jobs! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading the reviews I thought I'd give it a try--got my Bissell at Linens 'N Things (online) with a 20% off coupon for $15.99. Very easy to use, picks up what I need it to, mainly dust and very small crumbs, etc. For those who complain about a short cord, just add an extension cord and keep it with the vacuum--worked for me! Like others, I wish it had a small brush attachment. But it was great for vacuuming my stairs, I simply took off the long handle--MUCH easier than lugging out my canister vac.
I really like it NOT being cordless, having to worry about running down the charge.
Very happy with this lightweight vacuum for keeping my hardwood floors, linoleum, and very flat area rugs free of dust, crumbs, and other small debris.
