Description of BISSELL 3107B Catch-All VacBissell Catch-All vac combines the power of a motorized rotating brush and electrostatic cleaning The Bissell Catch-All vacuum lives up to its name by combining debris collection with dusting power. To make cleaning even easier, the unit operates cordlessly on a rechargeable battery that lasts 15 minutes per charge. Use of the Catch-All is markedly easy. When the handle is tipped to one side, the vacuum engages motorized non-scratching brushes to pick up large debris. Tip it to the other side and you can use the electrostatic dry cloth to snag all the fine particles and dust left on the floor. Suitable for all hard floor surfaces, the vacuum comes with non-marring felt-coated wheels, an easy-empty dust cup with a washable filter, and a simple and tidy charging unit. The battery pack pops off the base to simplify recharging, and an indicator light signals that charging is in progress. Each charge takes 6-8 hours; you can purchase additional battery packs separately to extend run time. Bissell includes a set of starter cloths and a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard
Tools and Hardware Reviews of BISSELL 3107B Catch-All VacCustomer Review: For People Who Like a Clean House but Don't Like Cleaning Summary: 5 Stars
I tried this vacuum for the first time today. I am very pleased with it. I have 3 kids ages 5, 2, and 1 and one long-haired dog. I also have over 1600 square feet of ceramic tile. We recently moved in and I noticed my regular vacuum just wasn't cutting it on the tile. And it was too inconvenient to pull out the broom and dustpan for every little mess, especially with two little ones who don't know how to stay out of the dirt piles! Not to mention that cleaning all the dust and hair out of a regular broom was definitely not one of my favorite chores. Now it's so easy to whip out this vacuum and take care of any little visible dirt quickly and easily before it gets tracked around. This vacuum is an excellent value for the price. For $30 (sale price I paid) you can't expect it to work miracles. No machine will replace a good, careful broom sweeping, just as no floor steam cleaner can replace scrubbing the floor on your hands and knees. It does a much better job of cleaning the floors than my regular vacuum. It picks up all the debris in its path instead of kicking it out in front. It is not all that loud, quieter than a regular vacuum for sure. It is easy to operate and manuver. The vacuum is the size and weight of a manual floor push vacuum. I haven't tried it with the electrostatic cloths but even without them it picked up a lot of fine dustbunny type debris, as well as small leaves and wrappers, in addition to a lot of crumbs. After sweeping about 500 sq ft of tile the dust cup was only about 1/8 full, and was very easy to empty and clean. No, it doesn't get all the dirt out of all the cracks and crevices, but neither does a regular vacuum even on carpet, without using the vacuum's wand extension. About diminished battery usage--that is a problem with just about any device of this kind, whether cordless hand tools, camcorders, notebook computers, or whatever. Running the batteries for a few minutes at a time without ever fully draining them greatly diminishes their battery life. As the manual clearly states, it's best to occasionally completely drain the battery and then fully charge it. If you've gone a long time without doing this, you may have to do it several times to get the power back up to where it should be. The main drawback of this vacuum in my opinion is that it doesn't clean any type of carpet, so I will still have to haul the regular vacuum downstairs for the oriental rugs. All in all, though, I consider it $30 very well spent!
