My old vacuum was about 10 years old but still chugging along. I was tired of buying bags though, and the carpet just didn't look superclean anymore. I bought this Bissell based on all the reviews I read. WOW! What a difference it made. I thought my carpet was clean until I used this Cleanview on it. After vacuuming just one room, I had a container full of dust and lint. It is so powerful, and it tells you with a red/green light if your carpet is clean. The light comes in handy for seeing under beds and tables. The power cord is extra long. I love the "power brush" tool that makes my couch look like new. All in all, this is a great vacuum, and I never have to buy another bag again!Customer Review: I love this machine!!

I have nothing but great things to say about this machine. Since getting it, I have used it everywhere....on my vent, my ceiling fans, my lamps, my furniture and my floors. I had no idea just how bad my old vacuum was until I used this one. It took hours to get my floors completely clean the first time I used this one. I thought the light would never turn green! I can't believe all that dirt was in my carpet. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that I wish the cannister was bigger to catch all the dirt. I have to empty it a few times while vacuuming but what a small price to pay for such a great machine. I am so happy with it AND the price I paid. at all the stuff I'm picking ups
first time when I use it, I had 3 cups
of dirt from the floor,
it's really that hardcore,
and so my carpets much clearner
and it's so much meaner
than my old sitck vaccum
and it's cleaning all the room
and still I can zoom
with gas in my car
because all the money I saved
didn't buy a Dyson, think of all the new things I've played,...
with, so many big savings you see
and performance too, just listen to me

Got it to replace an eight y.o. Oreck, that was doing a pretty good job...I thought. Major diff in amount of dirt picked up, and the on board accessories are a giant plus. Between,under,behind, top of seat cushions, windowsills, baseboards, stairs, blinds and curtains, you name it, it'll get it. Almost self-propelled, quiet, and the light is nice. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but for now, vacuumming is fun. Easy to empty cannister, and the sensors are rather unique. For the price, you can't go wrong. Best buy. BTW, don't run over cord and watch the throw rugs, she'll eat em. Like I said, this vacuum sucks!Customer Review: What a great vacuum!

I've never had such fun with a vacuum. I had just used my old vacuum 3 days before receiving the Bissell and couldn't believe the pounds of dirt and pet hair that the Bissell picked up.
I love the little red light that tells you if the area is still dirty and green when it's clean.
The hand tool with the rotor brush is really powerful, easy to use and works great.
It's light weight, too. I have both upstairs and downstairs and had no problem carrying it.
The light is great, really lights up the area well.
No complaints or criticisms about this vacuum.
The price was right, too.
