I read a lot of the reviews before deciding to buy this, knowing that I might be taking it back. I got it home, set it up and went to work on the same dirty areas of carpet that I was working on this morning with a spray cleaner and damp cloth. It cleaned all the areas and left them just as clean (and as damp) as when I've hired professional cleaners to come. I have a white wool berber carpet that gets a lot of traffic and it looks clean now. I went through of the first tank water with the trial soap and filled up again with plain hot water and it still cleaned really well without the soap.
In regard to it spraying too much, it does spray wide but you are always controlling how much it sprays so you can stop spraying at anytime. I haven't tried it on my upholstery yet I could see how the water might be a problem there, but for my carpet it's going to be great!

I recently got new carpets. I ordered the Bissell before they were even installed to ensure that I could keep them looking new if there were any accidents. I have an old cat who loves to vomit and use the carpet as toilet paper. I used to use a pet odor&stain remover spray and a sponge. It never fully got out the stain. This carpet cleaner was great. It is the perfect size so it is very portable. It is so easy to use. You can prefill the machine so it is ready for any accidents. When something needs to be cleaned up, all you have to do is turn on the machine and remove the stain. It completely removed all the accidents. When finished, just empty the side that has the dirty water and you are ready for the next time something happens. The carpets even smell great after you are done. This is one of the best purchases I have made. I would highly recommend this product.Customer Review: Thanks the heavens

My husband, albiet not from here, picked up this little gem after calling him and relaying that our son dumped the entire contents of a chocolate syrup bottle on his bedroom carpet. Home he came with this bissell. Only one they had at the store.
Assembly in two seconds, I kid you not. Didn't even need to look at the instructions. put in the cleaning solution, filled reservoir with water, set it down, plugged it in. Now, mind you, it took me about ten minutes, with a few minutes between each go, this syrup was well and good in the carpet, but I am deeply impressed. Throughly impressed. It's very light, even filled, it's compact, fits real nicely into our cleaning closet, and super easy to use. For the price we paid, it's paid for itself halfway with just the one room, compared to getting our carpets steam cleaned every few months. I would happily buy again.

I've checked out the reviews on the Bissell Little Green machine. No matter how good a product is, someone has a gripe! I've used Bissell for years. As far as I'm concerned, they keep getting better. The Little Green Machine is no exception! It's much quieter. I like the wider spray, and I never have a problem with getting most of the water out. Detailiing the interior of my mini van is quick, and easy. Floor mats are miserable, but this little gem takes care of them with no problem. I can clean my van interior, floor mats, seats, etc, on one tank of water. I clean auto interiors for a little extra cash when I can, and Bissell has always left everybody happy with the results. Even on a damp, and cloudy day, carpets dry faster than expected. The Little Green Machine, and any other Bissell carpet cleaner gets nothing, but high marks with me!Customer Review: Home Harmony

I just invested in new carpet and needed a convenient compact cleaner. As the father of two active boys and the owner of two young (large) dogs & one fussy cat, I am concerned about muddy foot/paw prints, food spills and those much more critical "accidents" on the new carpet.
As expected, the cat struck first (and hopefully last) even before I removed the Little Green from the box! I'm pleased to say, the Little Green was well up to the challenge.
Easy unpack, low assembly, tank fill with water/solution, plug-in and clean-up. The whole job took less than 5 minutes. I was so pleased with the process from beginning to end. And best of all, my wife did not find the accident. the Little Green removed all evidence 100%! So, the cat is safe for now. The Little Green extended her 9 lives, keeping us all happy!
