Customer Review: I downsized from the Bissell Pro Heat and couldn't be happier....

My first Bissell pro-heat broke (first the step release, then the hook that holds the hose, then it finally stopped working) after about 3 years of quarterly use throughout the house. I purchased a second pro-heat since I was pleased with the cleaning power of the first one -- it too stopped working after about 4 years (the switch was stuck on hose and would no longer clean floors, in addition to the hook that holds the hose breaking again).
So I decided to downgrade to this one instead of replacing the pro-heat with another one or upgrading, and I am sooo happy - this little cleaner is so light and easy to maneuver I can imagine teaching my 11 year old how to clean carpets.
Furthermore, I'm sure this will get a lot more use than the pro-heat. The pro-heat was stored in the basement, and was too heavy for me to lug up and down the stairs, so that was a real deterrent to using it. I can easily see using this every other week, as opposed to once a quarter like the pro-heat, so even though it doesn't clean as WELL as the pro-heat, I think overall we will have much cleaner carpets.
And yes, while it doesn't have rotating brushes, attachments, or heat the water like the pro-heat, perhaps it will be more reliable than the pro-heat given that there are fewer moving parts. We'll see. But for less than a hundred dollars, I am thrilled with this rug cleaner.
