I purchased this vacuum cleaner based on the reviews here. I must admit that I purchased it from Lowe's on sale for $80. It is small, easy to operate and cleans well. It did a wonderful job on my carpets. It is as good, if not better, than Hoover's more expensive models. However, do not expect this vacuum cleaner to clean large carpeted homes. My apartment is small--550 square feet. I would recommend the larger models for homes. But this is the perfect vacuum cleaner for small carpeted apartments or homes. I did have to refill the water tank once to clean my carpets, but that was only because I tend to be a neat freak.Customer Review: Great cleaner for what it is....

Which is a simpler cleaner - I'm not expecting miracles on my carpets here, but more cleaning than my vaccuum can do and that's what this little guy does! And it's lightweight which is a plus since one of my problem areas is the upstairs landing. I can easily deep clean the carpets once a month or so and feel good about my efforts! Since I have cats I DO take the couple of minutes it takes to really clean off the brushes and reservior of the machine once I'm done with it - it picks up hair that my vaccuum doesn't so I don't want the brushes to get hair built up in them.....I hope this machine lasts me a long time!Customer Review: Better Than Expected

I had this machine loaded and up and running in 15 minutes and I cleaned 7 various size rugs in one hour. Result , almost like they were new. I once paid $500.00 to clean a valuable antique 10 X 14 oriental rug Had to send it out. I tested a 4ft square area with the new machine and the colors jumped out just like they did with the professional job. Nice to have this tool sitting in my closet where I can pull it out anytime I feel like it. Just go slow and easy and you'll be very satisfied with the investment and you will NOT need a pro machine unless you have large wall to wall carpeting.Customer Review: Best Carpet Cleaner I have ever used!

This carpet cleaner is so easy to use. It is lightweight and be moved from one room to another easily. I used to have a canister carpet cleaner and it was so bulky, heavy, and had so many hoses to hook up that I would rather just call a carpet cleaner. It does have a smaller dirty water collector but by the time I fill it up I need a rest anyway. The container that holds the cleaning liquid is easy to unattach and fill. I would recommend this cleaner to anyone that likes to clean their carpet more than once every six month. Good with pets and children cleanup!Customer Review: Bissell Quick and very cleans carpets.

The fist time I used it, I could not believe the black water that came from my carpeting. I did not think it was "that" dirty... Now the waste water is only slightly discolored when I shampoo the carpeting.
It is hard to believe how easy the 2080 is to use and it dries within just a couple of hours. It is the greatest... really clean, shampooed rugs that dry in a couple of hours. When I had my carpeting cleaned professionally, it took all day for them to dry.
These are the reasons I really like my Bissell 2080.
