My dog had diaherra on the carpet and it was not cleaned-up for about six hours. I have tried every spray on the market, and scrubbed it too, but nothing got rid of that yellow-crusted stain! A month later, I finally reasoned myself to buy a Spot Bot. I am a pessimist and was skeptical.
I brought the 1200B and a bottle of Bissell Pet and Odor Stain Remover and loaded it into the Spot Bot. I placed it over the diaherra stain, selected the "set-in" option. The brush started spinning what appeared to me as "lightly." I was still skeptical. Six minutes later, a perfectly clean, wet circle. Twelve hours later, the carpet had completely dried. I went Spot Bot crazy! I used it all over the house on old doggy pee stains that have been there for 3 months. I used it on dirt stains. My boyfriend is going to use it to wash his car interior from mice pee. Yes, mice went into his car and peed on it.
I used to rent the Rug Doctor every time my dogs have about six accidents. It got costly and it's a pain to haul that heavy Rug Doctor home and back.
This product can survive the test of living on the farm!
P.S. My dog just threw-up while I was writing a review for the SpotBot!! How ironic!

WOW! What an impressive machine. (I've never written one of these reviews, so it'd have to be!) I breed puppies and you can imagine that they make a mess on my carpets. One day, they made more of a mess than I've ever seen. They had ground in poop to my carpet, the likes of which I have never seen! I scrubbed and scrubbed on my hands and knees for over 30 min - and nothing! I called my husband at work to tell him he'd be removing the carpet that night after work. On an impulse, I researched the spot bot after seeing it in TV. The reviews I read Raved about this machine - and didn't do it justice. I took it out of the box, filled it with water and solution and placed it over the stain. Six minutes later - GONE! Like it was never there - the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I've now tried it on set in stains, blood, dirt and everything else I can find on my rugs. There is nothing the spot bot can't beat! I would happily pay three times the asking price for this amazing machine...not only does it deliver incredible results, you only have to lift one finger to turn it on and your done! If you have a spot in your house that you can't get up, give this incredibe machine a try - it doesn't disappoint!Customer Review: Very nice product

We bought this item because our old dog has issues and our young dog had made many spots during potty training, that needed cleaning badly.
Our upright cleaner was having problems. Which I was able to fix with marine glue. So far so good any ways.
Before we bought the spot bot we checked reviews on here. I'm pleased to say that the reviews helped us to get the spot bot.
Our poor dog looks so sad and depressed as this little machine has restored the carpet to nearly new looking. (undoing what took him over a year accomplish.) We had tried to wash these with just our upright and they did not come out.
I think realistic expectations are key with this product. It is for spots. It would not take the place of an upright or a rented carpet washer. We have used it with our other carpet washer.
The only negative comment we have is the small size (and as some others have said odd shape) of the soap/water compartment. But considering the size and how effective this little thing has been so far hubby and I are both very happy with this purchase. Between this and our dyson, upright vacuum we are in good shape. With having 3 dogs, one who is 14, and two cats we really, really needed this.

I bought this because my husband had a cat who was a frequent hair baller. And this took care of the stains wonderfully. I pretty much only used it for that until my daughter was born now it seems I bust it out at least weekly. She recently broke a bottle of red wine on the carpet right next to the wood floor and that was the fist time the I used the hose feature and it got out 95% of the stain. (It did take awhile especially considering where the stain was. Also the wine rack is no longer in the living room we purchased a wine fridge that locks avoid our mistakes.) Everyone else says it got it out a 100% but I can still see it a little, but for God sake it was a bottle of red wine.
As for going through a ton of solution I've learned to ignore the suggested measurements it's just too much. For somethings just some hot water seems to be enough. And if you are using the solution you only need a splash. If the circles are cleaner then the rest of your carpets it just means it's time to get the whole carpet cleaned you do need to do that once in awhile. This machine has held up and saved my carpet time and time again. In two different houses and many different kinds of carpet.

I've had my Spot Bot for a little more than a year. (We have a dog that just refuses to be 100% trained). It is not a substitute for a big steam cleaner but for cleaning small, fresh pet stains, it is perfect. I probably use it 3x/week and don't even bother putting it away. It works because it wets the stains, scrubs, then extracts the moisture. I found that it worked pretty well on set-in stains but did not remove them 100%. As any pet owners knows, it's not the appearance of stains but the smell that you're so desperate to get rid of. I only wish I had had this when we first got the dog and was able to keep up with her messes.
One thing I've learned: you do NOT need carpet cleaning solution, Oxy-whatever, Resolve, etc. The best thing I've used is a combination of vinegar and warm water. It works absolutely perfectly and is astronomically cheaper. The cleaned area will smell like vinegar for just a few minutes (until it dries). I've also heard that these cleaners do more harm than good to your rugs over time anyway. Before this I had tried Nature's Miracle, Urine-B-Gone, everything -- nothing was any better (or often, as good) as vinegar+water.
