Tools and Hardware Reviews of BISSELL Swift Sweep Sweeper, 2201-2Customer Review: Works as Advertised Summary: 5 Stars
The sweeper works great! Perfect for a dorm, small apartment, office, etc
Works great, picks up lots of dust and debris. I fell in love with this thing the second I got it. So easy to use and keeps the floor clean. It's incredibly easy to empty the dust pans and not make a complete mess, and comes with a comb for the cleaning brush. I USE THIS ALMOST DAILY!
The handle does have some issues but if you hit it on the ground when assembling it you shouldn't have the problem (the instructions tell you to do this). It also has problems getting around corners or up against the wall, but that is expected.
Customer Review: Great for what it's for Summary: 5 Stars
I've had carpet sweepers before, so I knew what to expect. It takes cat fur out of my cut pile area rugs far better than a vacuum cleaner. It took so much of my cat's soft undercoat fur out of my area rugs that the color of the rugs actually darkened slightly. They look great.
I have dense, looped wall-to-wall carpeting, and the carpet sweeper doesn't work as well there--or else, there's less fur there to begin with.
The only thing I don't like about carpet sweepers is cutting/combing my own very long hair out of the brush--but that's a factor with most vacuums, too.
Customer Review: Does a great job Summary: 5 Stars
I have dark carpet and a white cat so I need to vacuum the fur from the carpet daily. It's a chore to get out the large vacuum cleaner so I thought I would get this for quick jobs. It does a very good job of picking up the fur and lint and does not require electricity. It must be emptied frequently or it will stop working properly. I have not had one incident with the handle coming apart because I read the instructions before putting it together. This sweeper does not replace the traditional vaccuum, but for a quick clean-up it does an excellent job.
Customer Review: Works great Summary: 5 Stars
I got this to clean up the salt and sand tracked in from outside. It's good for picking up crumbs and small items, too. Yes, it takes longer than an electric vacuum, but it's much more quiet, and can be used in the middle of the night.
It was easy to put together - Just read the instructions. Those who complained that the handle fell apart, probably did not read that you're supposed to bang it upright on a carpeted floor (use a magazine if you have bare floors) to set the pieces together before attaching it to the base.
Customer Review: I'm not using the vacuum anymore Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this. After using it for the first time, I wondered why dint I order it before. It picks up absolutely every single dirt on the carpet. Does not require power or dragging along the big vacuum and struggling with the power cable. Easy to empty the dirt bin, and the additional comb helps to remove the hair easily off the brush. Does the work faster than the vacuum, and the carpet feels fresh. I don't use the vacuum anymore.
Note: This is a carper sweeper, does not work on hard floors.
