Before I purchased a new vacuum, I did extensive research. Finally I chose the Bissell Versus and I could not be more pleased. It's compact and stylish so perfect for my one bedroom flat. By far the most powerful machine I've owned; dirt actually moves towards the nose before I can get to it! The bagless feature is convenient and easy to clean. Its V-shaped nose goes around corners nicely; I don't even have to move furniture half the time. My place is wood with floor rugs and works very well on both surfaces. Only word of advice is the attachment feature. There were no directions with my box on how to detached the hose to add the attachment. i wanted to buy this one but there were lots of bad reviews so i didn't. now my sister came to visit and she saw that i needed a small vacuum so she bought it for me. and i love it.it is very noisy and the cord is short but the suction is wonderful and it cleans my hardwood floor very well. i have hardwood floor and tiles everywhere in my house and the v shape needs a little getting used to and it has pros and cons compared to the normal shaped ones but i just love it and i would buy it again and recommend to ayone who is looking to buy a small vacuum. it is very easy to assemble and very easy to empty and it stands alone nicely. and since it can;t go under the bed i am thinking of buying another Bissel product,cordless one this time.Customer Review: Love it!

I have stained concrete and tile throughout my house (tile in bathrooms, stained concrete everywhere else.) I also have an 81 lb greyhound. While greyhounds aren't huge shedders, he's still losing his kennel coat and we've been noticing little pieces of Cairo in every room. I purchased the Swiffer set (Wet-Jet and vacuum) when we bought the house but haven't been happy with the level of clean they deliver. I picked up the Versus through Amazon and have been completely happy with it... it picks up everything from dog fur to dirt to small rocks (don't ask.) I finally feel like my floors are clean and I'm not just pushing the debris about.. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone that has hard floors.Customer Review: Move over Dyson animal vac

I was totally amazed at the pick-up power of this inexpensive little vacuum. My husband forgot to remove the cardboard insert in the suction area and I still managed to pick up animal hair and fill the filter twice. I have 5 cats and a dog and all hardwood and tile floors. I also own a $500 Dyson animal vacuum and this Bissell Versus is just as good if not better. It's light weight and does a great job manuevering around furniture although there is a slight learning curve. With my Dyson I end up chasing the dust bunnies around. With the Versus the bunnies seem to magically find their way into the washable filter. The bottom line is I have not used my Dyson since I bought the Versus.Customer Review: Love this sweeper!

This is my second bissel versus, the first one broke where the floor part meets the stick/base of the vaccuum. I had that one for about 2 years and used it everyday sometimes many times a day.
I could not find it in stores so I finally found it on amazon.com and got it the very next day!
This sweeper is amazing! I have hardwood and some area rugs in my home and it does amazing! Picks up cheerios with no problem as well as everything else. The amount of dirt/dust that it collects everyday is shocking!!
I also really like the design of it..the V shape gets around everything..it's easy to manuever around and I highly recommend it!
