I have 5 dogs running around my house. 4 of them shed (2 have undercoats). My house is all hardwood floors, and the fur builds up quickly. This is the 4th type of stick sweeper I have purchased. Out of all of them, this is by far the easiest to empty, and does the best at picking up the doggie tumbleweeds. The only major down side to this unit is the lenght of the cord. I went and purchased a 10 ft. extension cord to leave attached to it.Customer Review: Powerful Floor Vacuum

After reading many reviews about this product, I decided to take the plunge and order it. It really has a lot of power. It is a little cumbersome to use because it is somewhat heavy and a little awkward to use. However, it does the job on my bare floors as well as an area rug. I think the cord is long enough. My old Sharp conked out after about 5 minutes of use so I am very pleased with the Bissell Versus.Customer Review: Best thing I ever bought

I love this product. It is light weight and cleans just like it is advertised. It is fun to use and it admazing me to watch what it picks up and how fast it does it. The kids love using it too but I would rather use it myself because it is a fun way to clean. If you have alot of bare floor to clean, buy this...you won't be sorry. Before buying this vacuum, I already have 4 different vacuum in the house. None of them were very good at getting all the pet hairs from my dogs. This Bissell 76TB is unbelievable at picking up pet hair on my hardwood floor. In terms of picking up pet hair, it's better than my other vacuums that cost 3 or 4 times more. I was a little skeptical but I like all of my Bissell products. We had a Roomba, which we loved until we upgraded from 2 to 4 siberians, it did not survive. This really picks up dog hairs great and will even round up the tumble weeds. It's also a no-brainer when it comes to cleaning a clog, everything is easy to dismantle, it light. I actually disconnect the hose and use it to clean the "V".
