Tools and Hardware Reviews of Woolite 850B Rug Stick Carpet & Rug CleanerCustomer Review: It's o.k, not the greatest that's for sure Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this today and thought I would try it out. I have in-laws coming this weekend and don't have the time to pull out the carpet shampooer to clean the whole house. Woolite as always had a great name and I LOVE the oxy pet stain spray. It's AWSOME!!! Thought I would try this out as a fast carpet cleaner. It's very easy to put togeter and I love the brush for srubbing and the Woolite spray, as for the spray part of this stick...it SUCKS! Overall, it did a O.K job for small areas (stairs, hallways, small rugs, and in front the front door). It doesn't do as great as job as I thought it would or would have liked it too, but was worth the money I spent for a fast clean. I would say if you are looking for a quick clean, this is Great! If not, I would sick to a carpet shampooer for deep clean.
Customer Review: good product but... Summary: 3 Stars
This is a good product but its alot of work if you have alot of area to cover and alot of dirt to get up..because you have to do it more then once to get it clean,,for spot cleaning id just as soon to get a small brush and use some resolve on it ..works great ..I thought this would be great =for larger areas but it doesnt get it all up the first time you have to go over and over it to get it clean but eventually it will clean it..just takes some time and elbow grease.
Customer Review: Good for Maintenance Summary: 3 Stars
I didn't buy it online. They have it at Wal-Mart. It takes a lot of elbow grease. So I can't imagine doing an entire as seen on the commercial. She must be on some major caffeine trip to get a room done like that. I would definitely say it is food for maintenance after you get your carpets properly cleaned. I
Customer Review: Rug Stick Summary: 3 Stars
The brush is the best part. This will not do what the commercial wants you to think it can do. It is good for spot cleaning.
Customer Review: Minimal dirt only Summary: 2 Stars
My husband purchased this last night for me. He thought that it would be a handy tool to have as I am a 7 months pregnant stay at home mom of 3. I cannot bend or be on my hands and knees well. Also, my other children (4year old twins, and a 9 year old) seem to bring any mess possible into the house.
Anyway, I was very excited to receive this, I took it immediately to the twins room to remove some ground in dirt from earlier in the day (yes it was vacuumed prior). I was very disappointed. The foam seemed to just spread around the dirt. I was better off getting my steam cleaner out. I have tried it a second time near the doorway from my living room to kitchen. It is a high traffic area that was steam cleaned last month, so it is not disgusting yet. It did seem to revive the carpet as well as clean it up a bit.
All in all - If you have a carpet in the condition as the woman's in the commercial - hire a pro or rent a steamer. But for typical wear and tear and minimal dirt, the rug stick will work for you just fine.
