we put this product on a really dirty part of our rug, where everyone walks across it. us, dogs, cats etc. my wife did it twice, but it came out looking almost brand new. i recommend it. of course, it helps to have a good vacume as you have to vacume it afterward. our dyson made it really clean.Customer Review: I'm realistic and I'm impressed

This does not replace a home steam cleaner or a rental steam cleaner but for spots or hard to reach area this is awesome. Our home's stairs were a particular issue and this did a great job on them. Bought this for my 80 year old father, he loves it. He had a couple of very dark, nearly black 2-3 inch diameter marks in the carpet, he had to do each spot twice but both came completely out.
