I've purchased several dustbuster in the past... this one far surpasses anything I've used previously. I've had it for almost a year and it performs as well as the first day. This picks up my son's Lego from five inches away... it suctions as well as my expensive upright vacuum with the added convenience of portability. I use it several times daily (a large dog, two small kids and hardwood floors that show everything) and the charge lasts for the duration.
Although it's still going strong, when this one finally dies I plan to replace it with exactly the same one... I loved it that much.

This little dust buster has proven itself quite useful. Plenty of power and good maneuverability. Our needs don't require it to be used more than 45 seconds to a minute here and there, so I cannot comment on the longevity of the rechargeable battery. It has worked fine for us. I can see this unit being a little bulky for some people. However, my only gripe has to do with a very minor difficulty in placing the unit back in its charger which I have mounted on a wall. I would like it to just slide into place without having to fumble with it to make sure it is seated properly.Customer Review: The Best

I've owned numerous dust busters looking for perfection. I've found it. I had a mishap...throwing the dust bin away on the original model...and quickly purchased another. I replaced the dust bin on the first purchase, which is supposedly less powerful, so I could bring my first one to my office. You truly can use it as a vacuum on a rug...housekeeping is not the forte of my company. In fact, I use it at home as an interim vacuum cleaner. This model is a tad "stronger" than the lesser model. It's great buy and actually cheaper (the newer one) so I would purchase the new model.Customer Review: It lasts and lasts and lasts...

My husband has a little portable vacuum and whenever I borrowed it I would have to vacuum very fast because it died so quickly and would have to be recharged every single day. So I bought my own vacuum, the Black & Decker CHV1400 14.4 Cyclonic Dustbuster. Now I can vacuum slower and carefully, and I'm happy to say that the charge lasts a long, long time. So I use it for a few days until the charge finally goes down, but when I recharge it, it's ready for use very quicky. I love my Dustbuster and highly recommend it. Great product!

We have a parrot, two cats, a dog, and a 12 year old and use this every day for seed, litter, hair, food crumbs, pencil shavings, etc. It may only last 12-15 minutes on a charge but that is enough for me to hit the trouble areas on the spot without hauling out the big vacuum. Even when I use a broom for the bigger areas on the hardwood floors, it is easier to use this to pick up the piles instead of chasing them all over with a dustpan. I use the crevise tool on my vacuum to clean the "accordian" filter and haven't had to replace it yet after a year. Highly recommended.
