Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker PHV1800CB 18-Volt Pivoting-Nose Cordless Handheld Vacuum CleanerCustomer Review: Best cordless handheld vac Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best most powerful cordless handheld vac either my wife or I have ever used. We've yet to run out of charge for every task we have set for it. Other reviewers complain that they run out of charge quickly, they must be running this vacuum full bore, continuously, for an extended length of time. We've never had to do that and we've never had a problem. I think if anyone needs to run a handheld vacuum full bore, continuously, for an extended length of time, that they should seriously consider buying a corded vacuum.
This is a great little cordless handheld vac. -kd5-
Customer Review: Use it almost every day Summary: 5 Stars
When I ordered this vac my wife asked why on earth I thought we needed a handheald vac. Not long after it arrived we were both surprized how dependent we would become on this tool. It has good battery life a plenty of suction for those small tasks. We use it in the kitchen for those small spills. the cars, the garage, clean up plaster dust after hanging a picture, you name it.
I guess the only downside is that after out 32 year old daughter used ours, now we will have to buy her one for her birthday. Everyone who has used our Black & Decker PHV1800CB 18-Volt vac has been favorably impressed.
Customer Review: This vacuum really "sucks" Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for the really good deal with minimal expectations. As far as cordless vacs go, I have gone through my share of poor performers (either their suction is minimal or the battery dies shortly after I get started). I give this one a 10 in both of those areas. I love the way it folds up not only for space saving storage but to get in nooks and crannies you would miss otherwise. I use it for the edges around the floor boards, just underneath the edges of the couch, under beds and couch cushions, in the car- you name it. No complaints what so ever. This hand held cordless vac is a keeper!
Customer Review: No brainer - fantastic vacuum Summary: 5 Stars
Don't write many reviews but this item warrants 5 stars and I feel compelled to write a note on it. It works great - the suction is really strong for a cordless, rechargable unit; and the pivoting action is very useful. The filters need replacement every few months depending on the extent of clogging. We run it 3-4 times a day for about 2-5 min each time - mainly to clean dry food spills. It has been great in the car as well. We've owned 2 other handheld vacuums - the kind you plug into the car charger - they were pretty useless. I'll buy this again without thinking twice.
Cheers.
Customer Review: This vacuum really sucks!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted a powerful cordless to clean the carpets in my car. This unit works great. It not only picks up the lint and fuzz with ease, but it manages to go deep into the carpet fibers and pull out the dirt also. The built-in extension tube is really handy (especially when trying to get in between the seats of the car. I'm really impressed. If you think $70 is a bit steep for a cordless vacuum you should consider the Black & Decker 14.4 volt unit. I have that one of those too and, although I don't think it's powerful enough for the carpets in the car, it works great in the kitchen.
