These are pretty good sunglasses, especially for the price. They are effective at blocking blue light. This can be helpful in watching LCD and especially LED televisions and computer monitors, which produce huge amounts of blue light, which in turn can trigger insomnia. It can also be helpful to wear these and similar sunglasses for an hour or so before bedtime. According to scientists, blue light disrupts the body's production of melatonin, which is vital for sound sleep. Wearing blue blocking sunglasses before bedtime cuts out much of the blue light and thus permits the body to produce its normal amount of melatonin.
