Customer Review: Not for Your Old House
Summary: 4 Stars

Love this item, but had to try a lot of different adapters in order to fit to my sink. Not recommended for any older sink models.

Customer Review: Unfortunately this is the best faucet filter out there
Summary: 3 Stars

I've gone through a number of faucet mount filters. Having filtered water available for my family means a lot to me as the possibility of having harmful contaminates in our system is high (in our neighborhood the city still has lead pipes to deliver the water to our house). Our family cannot afford the hefty cost of a built in system nor can we afford to lose any storage space in our little home. The Pur system broke within a month's use, spraying water everywhere. There was no way I was going to buy that product again - even though I could get the filters cheaper than Brita's. The Brita system generally works for about 1-2 years. We recently had to replace our existing one as the indicator light no longer worked after 18 months of use plus, it had developed minor drips at it's joints. Our faucet does not require any adapters to install the product, I install it within 5-6 minutes without any tools and does a good job filtering my water and letting me know when to change the filter (every 1-2 months) - A+ in my book. But, the short life span and higher cost filters bring down my estimation of this product.
Other reviewers have questioned weather the sensor actually works or can be "reset." I have had false readings on when a new the filter was spent, but it is generally due to a dirty sensor, which is easily cleaned with a pipe cleaner once the filter is removed. But, I have never been able to "reset" the filter life by removing the spent filter and replacing it into the mount. It will always tell me the used filter is dirty. I actually like this because it really is telling me when a filter to dirty to use.

Customer Review: Still can't use this filter yet
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this filter on June 3, 2008. Today's date is 7/24/08 and I still have not received the attachment piece I need to use this product. I was very excited to purchase this item as I figured we would save quite a bit of money not buying bottled water. Imagine my disappointment when I was unable to attach siad filter because the threads on my faucet were on the wrong side. The insert in the package states I should call their 1-800-number. I did and was prompted to leave a message and that I would receive my piece in 4-6 weeks. Are you kidding me? So today I called the 1-800 number on the box. After relaying my information I was told they do not check the messages and "they are behind". So I asked how often they checked and I wa stold, "I don't know". Her name was Abby. Really helpful gal. So perhaps I will receive the piece in a few days I was told. Awesome. So if I ever get to ise this filter, I will review it. The customer service stinks.

Customer Review: why not INCLUDE the right adapters to begin with?
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought a Brita faucet water filtration system. I struggled to installed it with the included plastic adapters, but it would pop off. So I called the Brita customer service(1-800-24-BRITA) and they said they would send me out the non-plastic faucet adapters and that should fix the problem. OK great...I get the nice metal adapters and I get it installed. Every so often it would pop off, we would reattach it until one day when it would not reattach. So I called Brita customer service(1-800-24-BRITA). They said the threads were probably stripped due to trying to install it with the plastic adapters which had come with the unit. They sent me out a whole new unit, with a new filter. Why not just include the nice metal adapters to begin with? Think of how many people give up on this product without calling customer service(1-800-24-BRITA)...not good for the brand name and bad for the landfills.
