Customer Review: Not as advertised....

Bought a set of these (6) to replace the GU10 50w Halogen based bulbs that came with some 4" recessed lights from Lowe'sŪ. As stated by others, these are NOT 2.5w, but only 1.5w -- Certainly NOT the same light output as a standard GU10 50w halogen bulb.... Not even close!
They do have a nice neutral cool white color, and use substantially less energy while producing virtually no heat, which is why I bought them in the first place. However, the light output isn't great, and these would be useless for any sort of "task" or "direct" lighting applications. I think they'd be ok for "ambient" or "accent" lighting though.
I'll likely return them and replace them with Megaman GU10 based CFL bulbs.
