This compost bucket has excellent capacity. Attaching the lid and filter was slightly tricky, but I was prepared after reading other customer reviews. A little gentle coaxing went a long way. The carbon filter is doing an excellent job - my kitchen (which is rather small) has not been filled with the odor of decomposing vegetable matter. I have recommended this product to my Mom. This has worked really well for us to capture kitchen scraps. It does not take up a lot of counter-space, but is tall enough to hold a lot. It also traps odors well - though after 3-4 days, we will get fruit-flies hovering over it. The filter has been going for 3 months now and still works well. Emptying it is easy enough though you have to be careful, the contents don't get on your hands.Customer Review: go green

Great green product! I have an older smaller version and was happy to find this for my son and daughter-in-law. Square design is space saving and lid carbon filter is improvement over my unfiltered version. I'm pleased that it holds several days worth of scraps, snaps shut and has a filter. The picture on the web site shows the filter on the outside, but the picture in the catalogue that came with shows it on the inside. This caused some confusion with assembly. The filter seems to be working well. There was a small triangular piece of plastic in the shipping box. I have no idea what that was or what it was for. All in all, I'm pleased with it.
