If you've tried every stud finder known to mankind and can't find anything that will work reliably everytime then you need this one ... The rare earth magnets will find anything metal in a wall and will hang there and then allowing you to use the center level to determine where the stud runs under plaster,drywall, wood etc... I use it all the time to shoot baseboard or trim up on walls that have been drywalled ... Just simply slide it along the wall as I go and I know where the stud is ... saves so much time ... no screwy lights, beeps, lines, or little red pendulums or bobbers to give you false readings!Customer Review: Never miss a stud again!

I design and install custom closets for a living and for me, knowing what's in the walls is critical. Another Closetmaid Mastersuite dealer turned me on to STUD-4-SURE magnet and it is awesome. It will find a nail or screw in the drywall and the magnet is so strong, it will hang on the wall (like magic!). You don't get a false reading like you do with battery operated studfinders. It works great with metal studs too. I liked the product so much, I bought one as a gift for another Closetmaid Mastersuite dealer. This product is worth the $15 price tag.

I was searching for a new stud finder since the ones that are electronic hardly ever work and I usually end up making several unnecessary holes and not finding a stud. This thing is awesome. Mainly bought it for a flat screen tv installation. Worked very well, simple to use. No unnecessary holes, found a stud every time. If you're unsure if you really have stud or not you can run down the wall and notice that you're picking up a nail every few inches. I used this on drywall in my mom's villa. I ended up leaving it there for her and I'll buy another one. Nice tool, would recommend.Customer Review: Better than an electric stud finder

I bought a cheap electric stud finder which was a huge pain. You have to hold it very steady and slide it smoothly otherwise it throws an error. Since most walls have some texture it can be hard. It said to put cardboard down over the wall to help it slide better but it didn't help. It was a very frustrating experience.
So I saw this stud finder and it has been amazing. You just do a little s-ing snake like movement and the strong magnet gets drawn to the stud nails and it just hangs there. The magnetism makes it very easy to find the stud cause it is drawn to it.

This is the third stud finder that I have owned, and as long as I do not lose or break it I hope this will be the last. I concur with the vast majority of reviews...it works and it works well! Do not waste your money on battery operated stud finders. Whenever my battery stud finders broke or failed to locate the stud I always resorted to using a magnet and masking tape. This one works on the same principle but combines a level that rotates and is encased in plastic that protects the walls covering form the magnate. This tool even found my studs through exterior stucco walls!
