Tools and Hardware Reviews of Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote ControlCustomer Review: Skeptical but it worked Great Summary: 5 Stars
I was skeptical about this working after reading a few reviews, but it worked GREAT. I have an old Craftsman opener from around 1992 and a new commercial series LiftMaster opener.. It programmed easily with both. I did have to clear out the Craftsman openers memory by holding the programming button for 10 seconds, then programmed the Universal, then my two craftsman remotes as well as the keypad. I then went through the auto programming for the Liftmaster... All is wonderful....
Customer Review: Better than I expected Summary: 5 Stars
I bought an older house with a garage door opener installed in c. 1983. The existing opener was held together with plastic tape, and I couldn't find a manufacturer's replacement. I bought this on impulse at a hardware store checkout stand, and coudn't be more pleased. Even though my system was VERY OLD, I was able to quickly program this unit. It is small, and fits easily on my motorcycle. It is smaller than a small cellphone. Perfect. Strongly recommended.
Customer Review: Very easy to program for Craftsman openers Summary: 5 Stars
Even though Craftsman is not listed on the instructions, it was extremely easy and fast to program this opener for our 1/2 HP unit. We just had to click the buttons as described in the instructions and watch for the flashing lights - it just took three to work. My husband is thrilled with it. Yes, you do have to be closer to open/close the door than with the old remote, but it still works very well. We are pleased with this unit for certain.
Customer Review: Scary Clicker Summary: 5 Stars
Great clicker. I needed an extra for my pocket when I'm outside working and this works every time. The directions were scary at first , but after getting up and down on the ladder to see what type of motor I had, I was OK. I programmed it while on the ladder and had to press a button on motor called a smart button. It was a little difficult for a senior citizen to do , but I'm glad I sweat it out cause it clicked and now works great.
Customer Review: Great little device Summary: 5 Stars
I love these little things. I bought two. They were easy to set up, even though my garage door opener is decades old. The buttons look and feel solid. The little light is very bright and can be seen easily even during the daytime. The signal that comes out is strong and reaches the garage even from inside the armrest in my car.
The clip is detachable, which is nice. I haven't yet had to replace the battery.
