Tools and Hardware Reviews of Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote Control

Customer Review: It worked for mine
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a Craftsman garage door opener that is at least 15 years old. I couldn't find any information online or at Sears about it. Since this one says "universal" I figured it was worth a try for 25 bucks. It works perfect. I've been lifting my own door for so long that being able to open it from the car is GREAT!! It's like I got a whole new garage door opener.

Customer Review: Works Great!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Was considering a clip-on HomeLink for $150 and thought I would give this more reasonably priced unit a try.......I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to program for two different garage openers(an older Sears and a Genie) and it works great. Would definitely recommend this for ease of use and the compact size makes it unobtrusive on your visor.

Customer Review: great replacement
Summary: 5 Stars

great replacement clicker for my older craftsman garage opener. Had a hard time programming, initially, so I thought my opener was defective.

Well it was'nt after all. I had to go online and watch the clicker instruction video to learn that i was pressing incorrectly. You enter code then press and HOLD instead of pressing and releasing repeatedly.

Customer Review: Easy to program
Summary: 5 Stars

It took longer to drag out the ladder than to program the remote to use with the two 11 year old Overhead Door garage door openers we have. There are 2 possible settings for those doors; the first one didn't work, but it took just seconds to try the second and Voila--success. It is more sensitive and has slightly more range than the 2 old remotes I have.

Customer Review: WOW....That was easy!!
Summary: 5 Stars

We have a relic of the 70's as a garage door opener (EZ Lift). It didn't surprise me that EZ Lift wasn't listed as an opener the remote would support. But amazingly enough by programming the remote via the dip switch option....the garage door opened on the first attempt!! I highly recommend this remote even for the most ancient of openers!!
