I have tried a few in the past number of years, however, I can unequivocally state that this particular one works exceedingly well.
One suggestion: I believe that I read somewhere that this unit, with the batteries removed can be washed. Don't do it. I did and it made the noise level much louder.
Otherwise, this unit is quiet and does all that is promised. It is certainly worth the price and I highly recommend it without reservation.

I have been selling these on eBay (gratefulbuys) for over 9 years with 100% positive feedback and constant praise for them.
They work very well. We discovered that the entire ashtray can actually be washed with soap and hot water without any damage to the electrical parts or motor. Just remove the filters and batteries and let it dry before using!

This smokeless ashtray works extremely well at containing second-hand smoke. Cleaning it can be a challenge; however, it works just as advertised! Recommend cleaning and changing the filters often to maintain the unit especially if you're a heavy smoker. I'm definitely sold on this item!Customer Review: I can breathe again!

I am a chronic smoker, which appals others and affects their health worse than mine own. Guilty! This is the best smokeless ashtray I've tried - the ionic one is a joke.
