I've gotten more use from this ladder than I had expected, including as a scaffold. Even when not in use as a ladder, I put it into the M shape with the center hinge unlocked and use it to store lumber in the garage. It's nice and sturdy, but my only complaints are that it's a bit heavy, I wish it included a stabilizer on the other end (for when its used as a scaffold and to go around windows as a ladder), and the scaffold platform boards. I use a hand truck to move it around while it's folded.Customer Review: Excellent Ladder and Customer Service

I purchased this ladder in November of 2005. It performed exactly as specified. However, it had a problem with one of the hinges (it wouldn't open). I called ClimbTek's customer service and they said to tape it shut and put it on the front porch. The UPS guy picked it up without a call tag and in two weeks I had a brand new ladder delivered. I assume it was just a flaw in that particular ladder. I'll post again if I have anymore problems.Customer Review: Best Articulating Ladder

I compared this ladder to a copy at Home Depot. The Home Depot 16 ft model cost [money amount] + tax. The construction was not nearly as good, it had a two hand release (compared to one hand for Climbtek) for the articulations and was rated at 250 lbs. (compared to 300 for Climbtek). The ClimbTek costs a little more, but is a much better value.Customer Review: Great multi-purpose ladder

This is a great multi-purpose ladder, especially for the price. It has a good wide stance so it is quite stable. It is fairly easy to adjust. It is a bit heavy, but that helps with the stability. Great value!Customer Review: Good ladder.....but.......?

I purchased this product years ago....sometime in late '05 or early '06 as I recall. I do NOT recall receiving any customer/product book with the ladder. The sales information on this ladder indicates a "lifetime
guarantee."
I've only used this ladder occasionally, mainly for indoor painting in my multi-story, old house. Used very seldom outdoors...never had a drop of rain or snow falling on it. Always stored indoors. Detailed instructions on ladder followed to a tee.
Last week, while trying to open ladder for some outside work...outside
section would not open. One of the hinges appears to not be working. Be-cause ladder always worked well, and I really liked it...I avoided printing a negative review..and decided to try and contact ClimbTek. A web search produced nothing, despite the product being sold by many retailers. I then phoned Amazon.(rather had AMazon phone me)...which they did almost immediately. Despite some communication problems (an English-speaking foreigner I could barely understand), he (Amazon staffer) tried for find contact number so I could get some information...
(replacement, repair, whatever). Despite apparent efforts by Amazon staffer, and many "holds" taking considerable time.....nothing. He could not dig up any contact information for ClimbTek, and said....he/Amazon could not do anything. So....I guess I have a defective ladder, with no recourse.
If Amazon,or anyone, reading this has contact information for ClimbTek, I'd appreciate it if you could advise me. My e-mail... razar@voyager.net

IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS PRODUCT....BE CAREFUL OF THE HINGES.
I see others have had the same problem(s).... with varying results. I really liked the product, and it worked great..but, difficult to recommend it now.
