I purchased this same filter in 2009 and had no problems. The one that I purchased in March left a chemical/metallic taste in the water. If I ran a gallon of water through the filter then the water tasted ok for a while, but after a few hours the taste returned. I had to return it since it never worked properly.Customer Review: Water tasted funny.

Tried this one out because it was the cheapest. Water tasted funny from day one. We gave it a chance to see if we had not properly broken it in, but after two weeks it was time to get the original Samsung filter which worked like a charm. Just not worth the lower cost.
