Tools and Hardware Reviews of Conair GS4R Compact Fabric SteamerCustomer Review: I Love It! Summary: 5 Stars
O.K., it's probably not the best steamer in the world but for the price, it's a great value. I've only had it a little over a month and I've already found so many uses for it that it's more than paid for itself. I'm a knitter and find that it works beautifully for steaming and blocking my delicate handknits. Of course, it's great for other clothes too and my drapes never looked better. Tonight I used it to steam out an area rug that had been rolled up too long and had developed some serious creases and it worked like a charm. Now I only wonder why I waited so long to buy it.
Customer Review: Easier than ironing, unshrinks delicate fabrics Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this steamer to improve the appearence of button down shirts, linen trousers, and sheets right out of the laundry. It removes wrinkles easily except those set by repeated over-drying or creases set by previous ironing. And, of course, using it is much easier than ironing.
The steamer also helps stretch silk chiffon fabrics that have shrunk up to 6% from normal hand washing or dry cleaning. Although the manual cautions against steaming silks, this method is quite effective in reshaping sheer silks to their original size.
Customer Review: Perfect Wedding Dress Steamer Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this steamer to get the wrinkles out of my wedding gown and I'm glad I did. My gown is made of thick Silky Satin. Wrinkles fell right out of the gown without any problems. I steamed it from the underside of the dress. I was also able to use it to get the wrinkles out of my veil as well. I would suggest steaming the dress and veil a few days before the wedding because it does take some time to do it right.
I had absolutely no problems with this and saved a small fortune from having to send it out to be steamed!
Customer Review: Just Plain Awesome !! Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased at Walmart. I purchased this Conair Fabric Steamer months before I opened it to give it a fair try only to regret not opening it sooner. It is just amazing. Now I can only hope it keeps working for a while before I go from impressed to disappointed. Garments iron with just a stroke or two of the arm depending on the kind of fabric. The heat/steam is intense so be careful not to burn yourself as I did a few times till I got the hang of it. It might be too soon to say but for now I'm Loving it and keeping my fingers crossed.
Customer Review: Great Steamer! Summary: 5 Stars
This may sound crazy but I didn't buy the steamer to get wrinkles out of my clothes. I bought it to help in my struggle with removing wallpaper. This machine pumps out a great amount of steam and let me tell you, the wallpaper came off the wall easier than all of my other attempts with chemicals and scrapers. It heats up quick...3 or 4 minutes and the steam is on.
I am so pleased with how well this machine worked that I can't wait to clean it up and use it on my clothes after I am finished with the wallpaper.
