Tools and Hardware Reviews of Weller WES51 Analog Soldering StationCustomer Review: Good soldering station Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for home and hobby use. It meets those needs nicely. I bought several extra tips and some solder removal wicks as well. This is a big improvement over my older pencil solder guns, which had poor temperature control. The vendor (HMC Electronics) has a good web site for ordering and shipped on time.
Customer Review: Great unit without frills or expense. Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know what WES51 the other reviewer used, but the current WES51 does not have a digital readout. It's an analog unit with rheostat. If you don't need bells and whistles this is the iron for you. Readily available tips and so forth and rugged design. We use dozens of these with no problems.
Customer Review: This is the ONLY soldering station you'll ever need Summary: 5 Stars
I use this station at work on a daily basis and it has never once given me any problems, nor has my co-worker's given him any either. These are extremely reliable and you can find a tip for whatever type of job you're doing. I'd give it 11 out of 10 stars any day hands-down.
Customer Review: Great Sodering Station Summary: 5 Stars
I am a Biomedical Engineering Technician ( I fix hospital equipment ) and this is the soldering iron I use at work. I like it so much that I bought one for home too. You won't beat the price listed here on Amazon anywhere either... trust me I looked!
Customer Review: Great Tool Summary: 5 Stars
This soldering iron is worth the money. The temperature control is great to have for soldering and desoldering. If you are working on expensive circuit boards...you need this iron. Cuts out all the frustration of using a cheap soldering iron.
