Tools and Hardware Reviews of Cosco 11-120CBB1 Retro Chair and Stool Black and ChromeCustomer Review: Handy Kitchen Chair/Stool Summary: 5 Stars
Pros: Easy to put together. Solidly built. Serves a duel purpose as chair and step stool. Looks nice in kitchen.
Cons: Not for a large person to sit on - the seat is small. Step stool part does not tilt out (like the older ones did), but slides out making it difficult to move the chair without hitting your shins. The "stupid ugly" warning label telling you not to stand on padded seat is right on front of seat frame and is difficult to remove.
Overall: We are pleased with it. We rate it a 5 star because there is nothing else in the marketplace we could find to serve the purpose it does.
Customer Review: Easy Assembly, Great Chair Stepstool Summary: 5 Stars
I read some of the reviews of people complaining about the assembly so I warned my spouse, who absolutely abhores putting stuff together. Putting one of our kid's bikes together at Christmas time years ago turned him into a monster. When I came home, the stepstool chair was all put together and he was in a good mood. No extra parts. Everything fit where it was supposed to go. He said of all the things he "had" to put together in the past, the instructions that came with this chair were the easiest to understand. The stepstool chair is great too!
Customer Review: Wonderful Summary: 5 Stars
I have been wanting one of these for years - it reminds me of my Grandma's from when I was a little girl. My children gave this to me for Mother's day so I would not have to keep lugging the larger step ladder out to get to my higher kitchen shelves. It was easy to assemble, great looking in my kitchen, wonderful memories both of the past and now of the present, and is very easy to use. Not to mention it gives me an extra seat for when people want to help me cook. I love it and would highly recommend it to others.
Customer Review: Just like Grandmother's Summary: 5 Stars
Facing open heart surgery, I needed to find a stool I could use not only in the kitchen but around the house during my recovery. I wanted one that was sturdy, could be used not only as a stool to sit on, but as a step stool to reach things. I told my husband I wanted one "just like the red stool Grandmother kept in her kitchen pantry". We looked everywhere and could not find one that lived up to my expectations. My husband got on-line and found exactly what I was looking for!
Customer Review: Great little step stool Summary: 5 Stars
The wife wanted this thing for Christmas. I was going to take her to Beaver Creek, CO where we honey-mooned for a nice, romantic Christmas vacation, but she mentioned wanting this chair, so I got it for her and considered it a win-win! It was easy to put together and with the slide in steps, is easy to store out of the way. Seems very sturdy when standing on it and seems to be well-built. Also, much cheaper than the ski trip to Colorado!
