Love this stool that reminds me of Grandma's house. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is that the stool part is not level. I worked and worked and could not get it level. Not sure what it problem is. It still works okay though. The only instructions for assembly were in French. There were good diagrams and my sister-in -law grew up in France so we got it together. My 19 month old loves to climb up and down and the steps are just right.Customer Review: Just what we needed

I really like this chair. I was looking for an extra chair for the table as well as a step stool for the kitchen. Like another reviewer said, it's not as good as the old ones, but what is these days?
My only complaint is that my children were able to make a hole in the vinyl in about four days. I blame that on the fact that they're all boys and they are rough on everything.
Very satisfied with the purchase.

The chair itself is great, but assembling it is extremely difficult without a workbench, an item not found in many city apartments. The instructions are OK but need to be read very, very carefully. You're going to need Phillips-head screw drivers of varying lengths, wrist strength, and a fair amount of time. I would have preferred and been willing to pay for the option of the stool being shipped fully assembled.Customer Review: Cool Kitchen Step Stool

Bought this Costco step stool for my newly remodeled kitchen in order to reach the top shelves of my cabinets. It is very modern looking and sturdy, however, it wasn't a piece of cake to put together. Took some extra time to assemble it and had to make some adjustments because they never manufacture parts to fit easily. Other than that, I like having this piece of furniture in my kitchen.Customer Review: Got one closer to home

Found one at Ace Hardware online and ordered it to be delivered to the store. Paid about the same as if I bought it here w/ shipping. Great stool though. We have one from the 50's that is a simple one step w/ padded seat for our 6 yr old's dinner table chair and needed another one for our 2 yr old. Doubles as a great stool when trying to reach high shelves!
