Tools and Hardware Reviews of Crawford-Lehigh LA84P-1 Large Capacity Deluxe Parallel Clothes DryerCustomer Review: Parallel clothes dryer Summary: 5 Stars
Well, when I first got the product, I thought the box was empty; I guess I expected a heaver box however I was pleasently surprised when I opened it.
The frame is sturdy aluminum with beefy sliding collars of high impact plastic. All of the clothes line is a high strength poly rope that is plastic coated.
I opted to mount the vertical in a piece of couduit 3 feet long that I drove into the ground instead of the concrete form that is suggested. I don't believe the plastic base that is provided would have much strength just in the cement. I then installed the plastic base "inside" the conduit and sealed it with RTV sealant.
All in all, it's a great deal, works well and saves us money. I always remove and store the assembly when not in use so the UV doesn't destroy it. I keep it covered with an old pillow case.
Customer Review: Love the Lehigh Clothes Dryer! Summary: 5 Stars
After deciding that purchasing an outdoor clothes dryer was something I wanted to do (for economical as well as environmental reasons), I scoped out the selection at my local home improvement store. They offered only one and it was nearly $50. I came home and looked on Amazon and came across the Lehigh Large Capacity Deluxe Parallel Clothes Dryer for about half the price of the one I had priced locally.
Long story, long I ordered the dryer from Amazon. It was pre-assembled and a breeze (pardon the pun) to put up in my backyard. All I needed was a small bag of concrete mix, and voila -- laundry with the fresh smell that only comes from line drying.
I highly recommend this product!

Customer Review: Family loves it! Summary: 5 Stars
I can't speak to how long it will last. I've only had it for about a month. But it was very easy to install. I can say this from direct experience as my husband handed me the bag of cement mix, a shovel and the hose...and then left. Once the cement dried, I put it into its sleeve in the cement. It was so light and manageable, it'll be a piece of cake to take it in to store it for the winter to help it last longer. My daughter-in-law loves hanging bedding on it. My husband was drawn to it because he can hang his shirts outside to dry quicker than in the basement causing mold issues. That was an unexpected plus (him using it). Sometimes we hang full loads out, sometimes just the bedding and shirts. Either way, everyone's happy with it.
Customer Review: WORKS GREAT!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Wow...I absolutely love it. It's very light, easy to fold up, and takes limited space to store. I've been using it daily for a month now and have not had any problems. We followed the instructions in placing the plastic sleeve in concrete and it works great. On rainy days when I have some clothes I want to hang dry, I use my wrought iron umbrella stand in the garage or in the basement. The clothes dryer fits perfectly in the stand but need to make sure you balance the clothes evenly and hang them closer to the base so it does not tip over. We definitely saved a lot on our utility bills by using the clothesline vs the electric dryer. And you end up with clothes & bed linen that smell sooo clean & fresh.
Customer Review: going green Summary: 5 Stars
i was so glad to find this type of product available from amazon. i tried to find one from local retailers and no one carries them. i'm not an environmentalist, but i'm trying to take the little steps that add up to a big step.
this product is everything that the description said it would be. it was very easy to install and very easy to use. it is sturdy and well-made, but lightweight and easy to use (which includes, bringing it inside when not in use).
i was skeptical of the claimed drying capacity, but it's true. we've loaded it with 24 pairs of adult pants and/or shorts and still had room for towels to fit. and yes, it is sturdy enough to hold of all that.
