Tools and Hardware Reviews of Culligan WHR-140 Replacement Shower Filter Cartridge for WSH-C125, HSH-C135, ISH-100 Shower UnitsCustomer Review: No more chlorine vapors Summary: 5 Stars
These filters are part of the Culligan shower head and are simple to change out once the shower head is installed (which is also quite easy to do). We do not have any chlorine smell in the shower and the shower stays cleaner longer. I like the fact that I can reverse the filter after 6 months and get even more life. Every shower in my home has these and we are all healthier for it. No hard science to back up my opinion, but we had a distinct odor before installing these and it is gone now. We have used these for about 9 months now and have just bought the first replacement filters which prompted this review.
Customer Review: BIG difference Summary: 5 Stars
This shower head filter has made an enormous difference on my skin and hair. I have terrible eczema and extreme dry skin in the winter--I can't tell you how much money I have spent in my life on body wash, moisturizers, etc. But I think all along my biggest problem was the quality of the water. Now I hardly use any moisturizer and can actually use BAR soap...if you have dry skin or eczema, you should know what a coup this is! I can also see a HUGE difference when I take a shower elsewhere, like visiting my mom's--it feels like I have an itchy sweater on when I don't use the filter!
Customer Review: Filters out the junk Summary: 5 Stars
This is a difficult find in local retail stores. Glad it's available readily online.
The filter works very well. Takes out a lot of the chlorine smell and also the sediment in the pipes. It's not a water softener, so do expect to have that "slick" feel after you shower like you do with the big "Culligan" home based water softeners. Those are great, but cost $$$. This unit does just fine and would highly recommend it to anybody who has strong chlorine smell and old pipes with a lot of built up sediment.
Customer Review: WHO'S TO KNOW??!! Summary: 5 Stars
SINCE WE DON'T KNOW FOR SURE HOW WELL THIS PRODUCT PERFORMS (WITHOUT SOME SORT OF PESKY TESTING) THIS PRODUCT BECOMES SOMETHING YOU PURCHASE BASED ON FAITH THAT THE MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS & CLAIMS ARE ACCURATE & TRUE. I DID NOTICE A DIFFERENCE IN THE "FEEL" OF THE WATER IN MY SHOWER WHEN I FIRST INSTALLED THE FILTER. OTHER THAN THAT, I HAVE NO PROOF IT DOES THE JOB THE MANUFACTURER CLAIMS IT'S DOES. IN AN EFFORT TO DO SOMETHING GOOD & HEALTHFUL FOR YOURSELF, I GUESS THAT SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO ACT ON FAITH!!
Customer Review: Great product, but fades over time Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product. Seems to really take a lot of the hard water out, and does leave skin and hair feeling better than with regular tap water. This filter seems to have good flow for about 3-4 months. It seems to have less and less flow as time goes on. The product can get to a point were it is almost not worth taking a shower. After the filter is at this point the only option is to purchase a new one, and Culligan wants almost double what Amazon wants for one.
