This filter is heads over shoulders that the filter that Home Depot sells, Lowes doesn't sell any. This is also sold by Bed Bath and Beyond, but costs $14, about $2 more than at Amazon. This is a great filter, just make sure you buy the showerhead to go with it. It does a fantastic job of filtering out the chlorine, and it lasts for quite a long time. If it does begin to clog, you can simply reverse the filter to flush it out which makes it last even longer.Customer Review: What a difference it makes!

My wife has extremely dry skin all over. We both suffer from dry skin on our shins in the wintertime. These helped tame our county water supply so that our skin was softer. This was the first winter that the skin on our shins wasn't itching and cracked open.
