Description of Commercial Grade Adjustable Garment Rack
This commercial grade, adjustable garment rack is the same one used in showrooms and retail stores all over the world. This handsome, chrome rack telescopes up and down with 8 height settings from 46" to 66". The load capacity is 250 lbs. It is equipped with 4" non-marring rubber casters. The rack is covered by our "no overload" guarantee. The "no overload" guarantee is for a period of 5 years. I bought two of these racks after having a cheap one from Target collapse on me. They arrived as many reviewers have noted, in a poorly packed and beat up shipping carton. I wish I had read this reviews to see that the assembly instructions are outside the box in the packing slip. I instead had to assemble using the picture as others had to. I did get an allen wrench in my box and I did eventually discover the missing bolts are already in the bars. I discovered it is easier for one person to assemble if you lay one of the uprights on its side and bolt on the crossbars, then stand it up and bolt on the other upright.
Maybe it was a good thing I did not use the instructions since they show a mysterious part "F", which I did not have as far as I could tell. It is shown as sort of wing shaped thing with no indication of where it actually goes. It is apparently either pre-assembled at shipment or not needed since the rack went together just fine without me knowing about it.
Despite the issues with shipment and instructions, this rack is amazingly sturdy and a good value in my opinion. I fully loaded it with many shirts and it can clearly take it. This one is not going to collapse.
I second the comment that the wheels should be lockable. It is curious that they are not.
