After finding that so many places no longer sold these and that many of the companies that used to make them no longer do, I was surprised to find a set like this. That being said, I was somewhat skeptical at first because I was purchasing these for work as a bit of a child deterrant so we could shut things off remotely and not have to physically unplug the machines, but also to make closing up at night a little bit easier, and was pleasantly surprised.
Because of the technologies used, a fairly clear line of sight is required to shut off or turn on the plugged in devices, however in a small store like we have, that is not a problem at all. After nearly a month of use, there have been no problems at all and consider it money well spent!

Amazing.
I live in a ~2500 square foot loft with ceiling outlets, so it's needless to say that i was relieved to find a product like this one.
So far, the range of the wireless remote is quite impressive-- 30 feet away through a wall (these are rf as opposed to infa red, so line-of-sight isn't required) is no problem.
I was initially put off by the reviews mentioning having to walk right up to the outlets, but being stubborn took a gamble on them. Not sure what the case is in these other reviewers-- the outlets work great, even from far distances/through walls. perhaps they were running into radio interference of some sort?
Regardless, i'm quite pleased.

This product was so easy to set up and use. It works exactly the way I need it to, and there hasn't been any part of it that has made me regret buying it. I've had it for over a year now, and I haven't even had to change the battery in the remote yet, and I use this thing every day over and over again. Now if you are trying to get something professional, than this probably isn't the way to go. I use it in my bedroom. Only for the reason that the remote is made of cheap plastic, but the plastic is sturdy, and while your using it, you don't notice anything about it feeling cheap. Overall, this is a great product, I would buy it 100 times, and it just makes life easier.Customer Review: This is an excellent product that's worth every penny!

This is an AWESOME solution for any electric device that is inaccessible to turn on/off! I have a lighted curio cabinet with the switch inside the cabinet. To use the light, I had to sqeeze around the furniture, open the glass door, find the switch (without knocking over anything inside), close the door (without breaking the glass) and squeeze back. It was such a hassle that I never bothered to use it. Now I just click a button on the neat, compact remote. I also had the same proplem with my Christmas Tree lights. This year, I look forward to NOT shimmying under the tree on my stomach every time I want to light the tree.Customer Review: No problems here

I've been using this set for about 5 months now and they work great for me.
I'm on disability and have a hard time getting out of bed, so I set up a bright light on one unit, a floor fan and my oxygen concentrator (which is in a different room due to it being noisy).
By being able to turn the oxygen unit off in the morning (which I usually forgot to do), this remote has saved me quite a bit of money.. actually paying for itself by next month.
No problems with the remote or frequency interference as others have mentioned..
Happy camper here.
