Have used this cracker on a variety of nuts ... it works very well over all and is made strong and durable which is important if you plan to use it regularly ... I haven't used any other nut cracker that was better or more versatile ... the only thing to note is to be sure you are prepared for the shell fragments that result ... use it inside a box so that the fragments are collected rather than scatterred about ... or cover with a towel to keep the fragments in one general place to make clean up easier
